MANILA, Philippines — Binawian na ng buhay ang kasalukuyang chairperson ng Metropolitan Manila Development Authority na si Danilo Lim matapos, pagkukumpirma ng sari-saring sources, Miyerkules nang umaga.
Kinumpirma na nina presidential spokesperson Harry Roque at MMDA General Manager Jojo Garcia ang pagkamatay.
Matatandaang nagpositibo sa COVID-19 si Lim nitong nakaraang linggo lang.

"The Palace expresses its deep condolences to the family, loved ones and colleagues of Metropolitan Manila Development Authority Chairman Danilo Lim who died before 8AM this morning at the age of 65," ayon sa pahayag ni Roque kanina.
"MMDA Chair Lim served the Duterte administration with professionalism, competence and integrity. He would be dearly missed. May the perpetual light shine upon him, and may his soul, through the mercy of the Almighty, rest in eternal peace."
