May violation sa kalsada? '10-year valid license' hindi mo na makukuha — LTO
MANILA, Philippines — Magsisimula nang lumabas ng mga panibagong driver's license ang Land Transportation Office (LTO) simula Oktubre 2021. Pero para sa mga taong may traffic violation, disqualified ka nang makakuha nito.
"Kahit single demerit point, that can be considered na hindi ka makaka-avail ng 10-year valid license," ayon kay Edgar Galvante, hepe ng LTO, sa isang virtual briefing ngayong ika-19 ng Agosto.
Aniya, wala raw dapat demerit points ni isa.

Nanggaling ang mga nasabing "demerit" system nang ipatupad ang Republic Act 10930, bagay na nagpapahaba sa validity ng driver's license.
Sa implementing rules and regulations (IRR) ng R.A. 10930, lumalabas ang mga sumusunod na mga dami ng demerit depende sa lala ng violation:
- grave violations (5 demerit points)
- less grave violations (3 demerit points)
- light violation (1 demerit points)
Lumalabas kasi na 40 demerit points ang limit para sa isang tao para tuluyang ma-revoke ang kanyang lisensya.
