Bagong 'Oust-Duterte plot' parang 'Red October' lang, sabi ng mga kritiko

MANILA, Philippines — Minaliit ng ilang grupo ang sinasabing "destabilization plot" na "ibinulgar" ng isang news organization laban sa ibang news organizations at sa Kaliwa ngayong Lunes.

Para sa Bayan Muna, wala itong pinagkaiba mula sa naunang inilutang na "Red October plot" para patalsikin daw si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte, na napatunayan naman daw na peke.

"Parang silang mga sirang plaka na paulit-ulit ng kasinungalingan. Palagi na kasing nabubulgar ang kalokohan ng [Armed Forces of the Philippines], [Philippine National Police] at mismong Duterte administration kaya gigil na gigil sila na idawit sa mga ganito ang kanilang mga kritiko," ani Bayan Muna Rep. Carlos Zarate.

Dati nang ipinalutang ng AFP ang "Red October" at kung paanong ginagamit daw ng mga komunista ang 18 unibersidad para sa plano raw upang patalsikin ang gobyerno.

Isa sa mga eskwelahan na pinangalanan ni Brigadier General Antonio Parlade Jr., ang Caloocan City College, ay hindi tunay na paaralan.

Pinabulaanan na ito ng mga estudyante at sinabing si Duterte mismo ang gumagawa ng dahilan para manawagan ng outster ang taumbayan.

"One can also see the coordinated pattern of attacks that they are doing now against the opposition before the elections to camouflage and justify the dirty operations they plan to do during election day itself," dagdag ng mambabatas.

Panibagong alegasyon

Sa inilabas na artikulo ng Manila Times ngayong Lunes, iniuugnay ng isang flowchart si "Bikoy," na nagsiwalat ng diumano'y kinalaman ng mga malalapit kay Duterte sa droga, kina Ellen Tordesillas, ilang media organizations at sa National Union of People's Lawyers.

Nanggaling daw sa isang pinagkakatiwalaang source ng Manila Times sa Office of the President ang balita.

Sa ouster plot, ginagamit daw ang media at pekeng balita para galitin ang taumbayan at mga alagad ng batas sa tulong ng Kaliwa. Ganito raw nagsisimula ang mga kudeta.

"There’s an obvious pattern of close coordination among some media organizations for the timely publication of anti-Duterte stories," sabi ng source sa Manila Times.

Wala namang ibang kinapanayam sa artikulo maliban sa kanilang "highly placed source." May dalawa pa raw na independent sources na nagkumpirma nito ngunit pare-pareho silang hindi pinangalanan.

Panganib sa journalists, human rights lawyers

Sa nasabing matrix, pinangalanan si Tordesillas, na presidente ng Vera Files, ang Philippine Center for Investigative Journalism, Rappler at NUPL na nagpapakalat diumano ng mga pekeng naratibo.

Pero ayon kay NUPL Chairperson Neri Colmenares, senatorial candidate at pinangalanan din sa matrix, ine-engganyo lang nito ang mas malaking peligro sa mga human rights lawyers, advocates at mga peryodista.

"This latest attack is intended to sow fear among journalists and lawyers. They want us to stop filing cases against the government for its abuses or to report the truth. I ask our public interest lawyers and the media not to be cowed by this harassment and to continue performing their noble professions," ani Colmenares.

Maliban dito, masyado raw siyang busy sa kampanya at isang episode lang ang napanood niya.

"Hindi ko nga napanood yung iba pang installments so how can I help orchestrate a plot based on videos most of which I have not even watched? Ganun naman palagi ang gobyerno. Pag opposition pinag-iinitan at nile-label na komunista o destabilizer dahil nailalabas namin ang kurapsyon at mga kamalian ng gobyerno," wika ng Makabayan candidate.

Naglabas na rin ng pahayag ang executive board ng NUPL upang kundenahin ang ugong-ugong, na isinulat ni Dante Ang, chairman emeritus ng Manila Times at dating itinalaga bilang special envoy of the president for international public relations ni Duterte.

"This has certainly gone over the walls of credulity. It is absolutely false, totally baseless and completely ludicrous," sabi ng samahan ng mga abogado.

"[I]t would have been amusing were it not perilous to the safety, security, and liberty, if not the lives, of each of the 500 or so lawyers, law students, law professors, judges, prosecutors, public defenders, government lawyers, and paralegals who are members of the NUPL in more than 20 chapters nationwide."

Tinira rin nila ang pagiging malapit daw ni Ang kina Duterte at kay House Speaker Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, dahilan para hindi raw maging credible ang mga alegasyon.

Dahil dito, "basura" lang daw ang paratang at nagsayang lang sila ng papel.

"[F]irst they came for the activists, then the indigenous people, then the peace consultants, religious, farmers, opposition, then the media, and now the lawyers. Who’s next?" dagdag nila.

Binanatan na rin ng Rappler ang pagdadawit sa kanila sa isyu.

"This 'matrix' story is an example of how not to write an investigative report — not even everyday straight news," sabi ng media outfit.

"The Manila Times under Dante Ang, appointed special envoy for international public relations by President Rodrigo Duterte, is the reason why journalism schools and newsrooms in the country should be actively educating the youth and communities on what truthful, responsible, and ethical journalism is."

Samantala, hindi pa naman nagsasalita si Tordesillas patungkol sa mga alegasyon.
