MANILA, Philippines — Tuloy ang biyahe ni US Pres. Donald Trump sa Pilipinas sa susunod na buwan upang dumalo sa Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) at East Asian Summit conferences.
“We confirm U.S. President Donald Trump’s visit to the Philippines this November,” ani Presidential Spokesperson Ernesto Abella.
Ayon pa kay Abella, ang napipintong pagbisita ni Trump sa bansa ay isang patunay sa gumagandang relasyon ng Pilipinas at Amerika.
Inaasahan din ang “face-to-face meeting” nina Pangulong Duterte at Trump.
“President Trump’s visit underscores the improving Philippine-U.S. ties and President (Rodrigo) Duterte is looking forward to welcoming the U.S. President in Manila,” pahayag ni Abella.
Bukod kay Trump, inaasahang darating din sa Pilipinas ang mga lider ng mga bansang kasapi sa ASEAN para sa summit sa Nobyembre 13 hanggang 15.
Bilang host country, hangad daw ng gobyerno na maging produktibo at maayos ang pagpunta sa Pilipinas ng mga foreign guests.
Ipaparamdam daw ng bansa ang kilala sa buong mundo na “Filipino hospitality” para magkaroon sila ng magandang alaala sa pananatili sa Pilipinas.
“As host country, we hope to make the event productive and pleasant to our foreign guests. We will let them experience our world-famous Filipino hospitality to make sure they would have good memories of their stay in the Philippines,” ani Abella.
Excited na rin anya ang mga Pinoy na matunghayan ang paghaharap nina Pangulong Duterte at Trump.
