MANILA, Philippines - Nilagdaan ni Pangulong Duterte ang Executive Order 28 na naglilimita lamang sa paggamit ng paputok sa ‘community fireworks display’ sa buong bansa.
“There continues to be a substantial number of firecracker related injuries, even casualties, recorded every year, some involving bystanders,” nakasaad sa EO 28.
Dahil sa bilang ng mga nasusugatan at nasawi sa paputok ay nagpalabas ng mas mahigpit na kautusan ang gobyerno sa paggamit ng fire crackers.
Nakasaad pa sa EO, dapat nasa ilalim ng superbisyon ng trained at lisensiyado ng PNP ang maglalagay ng community fireworks display na mayroong permiso mula sa lokal na pamahalaan.
“The PNP, Department of Health, Department of the Interior and Local Government, Department of Environment and Natural Resources, Bureau of Fire Protection were also mandated to promulgate rules and regulations for the implementation of the EO and conduct information campaigns on the danger of using fireworks,” nakasaad pa sa EO 28.
Magugunita na mismong DOH ang humiling kay Pangulong Duterte na lagdaan ang EO na naglilimita na lamang sa paggamit ng paputok sa bansa dahil na rin sa patuloy na pagtaas ng bilang ng mga napuputukan tuwing Bagong Taon.
