MANILA, Philippines - Magtutulong ang Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) at National Grid Corp. of the Philippines (NGCP) upang palakasin ang kalidad ng skills training ng mga power line workers.
Sa nilagdaang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) nina TESDA Director General, Secretary Guiling “Gene” Mamondiong at NGCP President Henry T. Sy, Jr. noong nakalipas na Marso 20, nagkasundo ang dalawang grupo na muling pag-aralan at pagandahin ang Training Regulations (TRs) at Competency Assessment Tools ng Transmission Line Installation and Maintenance.
Nagpasalamat si Mamondiong sa NGCP dahil aniya, napakahalaga ng gagawing pagtaas ng kalidad ng Training Regulations dahil isa itong paraan upang makapagsanay at makalikha ng magagaling na manggagawa sa bansa.
Ayon naman kay Mr. Sy, mahalaga ang agreement na ito dahil nakasalalay dito ang pag-unlad ng bansa.
“When power lines go down, it is the linesmen who go out, up the mountains and across the rivers just to bring the electricity back to thousands of households and industries. While the maintenance of power lines lies in their hands, it is our responsibility to empower these everyday heroes,” dagdag pa ni Sy.
