MANILA, Philippines — Pinasinungalingan ng United States Embassy sa Maynila ang ulat na pinaplano ni dating US Ambassador to the Philippines Philip Goldberg ang pagpapatalsik sa pwesto ni Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.
"As Secretary Kerry said in his meeting with President Duterte in July, the United States respects the sovereignty of the Philippines and the democratic choices made by the Philippine people in selecting their leaders," pahayag ni US Embassy press attache Molly Koscina.
"We continue to focus on our broad relationship with the Philippines, and will work together in the many areas of mutual interest to improve the livelihoods of the Philippine people and uphold our shared democratic values," dagdag ng press attache.
“The president continues to enjoy the trust of the people, and the people on the ground apparently appreciate what he’s doing,” sabi ni Presidential spokesperson Abella.
