Matobato kinasuhan ang mag-amang Duterte

MANILA, Philippines — Inireklamo ng murder, torture at kidnapping ng umano’y miyembro ng Davao Death Squad (DDS) na si Edgar Matobato si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte at Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte.
Ang abogado ni Matobato na si Jude Sabio ang naghain ng reklamo sa Office of the Ombudsman sa lungsod ng Quezon ngayong Biyernes kung saan inrekelamo rin ang mag-ama ng paglabag sa international humanitarian law, genocide at iba pang crimes against humanity.
"In his affidavit, Matobato said the DDS is responsible for over a thousand murders from 1988 until he left the group sometime in September 2013. He also added the group's main targets were robbers, rapists and other suspected criminals in Davao," nakasaad sa pahayag ni Matobato.
Sa kabila ng mga inihaing kaso ay mayroong immunity ang Pangulo.
Sabit din sa reklamo sina Philippine National Police Ronald dela Rosa, SPO4 Bienvenido Laud, SPO3 Arthur Lascañas and at iba pang mga pulis.
"Siya (Duterte) ang nag-uutos sa pagpatay. Kapag kilala ang biktima o big-time, pumupunta si Duterte sa Laud Quarry para siguraduhin na 'yun nga ang target at para manood sa pagchop-chop ng bangkay," dagdag ni Matobato.
Nauna nang itinanggi ni Duterte na mayroong DDS at siya ang nasa likod nito.
Sinabi naman ng abogado na may iba pang testigo na lilitaw upang idiin ang Pangulo.
Ang paghahain ng kaso sa Ombudsman ay nasabay sa paglabas ng resulta ng imbestigasyon ng Senado sa DDS kung saan sinabi ni Sen. Richard Gordon na walang ebidensya na magpapatunay na mayroong state-sponsored extrajudicial killings.
