Kung ‘di magre-resign ang mga commissioner ERC bubuwagin ni Duterte

MANILA, Philippines - Desidido si Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte na buwagin ang Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) matapos tumangging magbitiw ang mga opisyal nito sa kabila ng kanyang panawagan makaraan ang pagpapakamatay ng isang director nito dahil sa anomalya.

Naunang hiniling ng Pangulo ang boluntaryong pagbibitiw sa puwesto ng lahat ng commissioners ng ERC makaraan ang pagpapakamatay ni Francisco Villa Jr. na pinuno ng bids and awards committee ng komisyon dahil umano sa pressure at corruption sa ahensiya.

“I have directed a comprehensive review of all legal remedies to overhaul and effect fundamental changes in the agency including the officials,” sabi ng Pangulo sa mga reporter sa press conference kahapon ng mada­ling araw sa Davao City. 

“I have received word the members of the body have refused to step down. I demanded that they all resign. 

“Kung ayaw ninyo (If you do not want to resign), we will abolish the office. I will not grant any single centavo,” giit pa ni Pangulong Rody.

Tumangging magbitiw sa kanilang puwesto sina ERC Commissioners Alfredo Non, Ina Asirit at Gloria Victoria Taruc.
