Chiz kumpiyansang papanigan ng SC si Poe
MANILA, Philippines — Matapos diskwalipikahin ng Commission on Elections (Comelec), naniniwala si Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero na sa Korte Suprema sila ni Sen. Grace Poe makakahanap ng kakampi.
"We are hopeful that if Senator Grace cannot achieve justice from the Comelec, she will finally achieve justice in the Supreme Court," wika ni Escudero na tatakbong bise presidente ni Poe.
Pinanghahawakan ng senador ang naging hatol ng mataas na hukuman sa namayapa nanag ama ni Poe na si Fernando Poe Jr.
BASAHIN: 1st division ng Comelec kinansela rin ang COC ni Poe
"Under the law, adoptive children take over the rights and the pertinences of a legitimate child. So if you are a legitimate child of a natural-born father, then the status of your citizenship is also natural-born," dagdag ni Escudero.
Dalawang division ng Comelec ang nagdiskwalipika sa certificate of candidacy ni Poe dahil sa apat na petisyong inihain laban sa senadora.
Naunang diniskwalipika ng 2nd Division ang nakababatang Poe at ngayong Biyernes lamang ay inilabas din ng 1st Division ang kanilang desisyon.

Una nang naghain ng motion for reconsideration ang presidential aspirant sa Comelec en banc at muli nila itong gagawin kasunod ng hatol ng 1st Division.
"We will appeal to the Comelec and the Supreme Court to uphold the truth, and the spirit and aims of our Constitution. In the meantime, I assure you that I am still a candidate for president," ani Poe.
