Sy, Zobel, Aboitiz kabilang sa Asia's richest families ng Forbes

MANILA, Philippines – Tatlong pamilyang Pilipino ang kabilang sa pinakamayayamang pamilya sa Asya, ayon sa Forbes.

Nangunguna ang pamilyang Sy na nasa ika-13 pwesto na may $12.3 bilyon net worth, kung saan sila ang pinakamayaman sa  Pilipinas.

Ang SM Investments Corp. ang pinanggalingan ng kita ng mga Sy at ang kanilang stake sa National Grid Corp.

"(Henry) Sy's children are all involved in management and meet weekly over lunch to discuss the business; their mother sometimes joins. Grandchildren are taking active roles," nakasaad sa Forbes.

Samantala, nasa 35th naman ang mga Zobel na may $4.2 bilyon net worth.

Hawak ng mga Zobel ang Ayala Corp.,  mula pa noong 1834 kung saan ikapitong henerasyon na ng kanilang pamilya ang nagpapatakbo nito.

"It started off as a small distillery in Manila 181 years ago, and is now one of country's largest conglomerates and a holding company for publicly traded Ayala Land, Bank of the Philippine Islands, Globe Telecom and Manila Water," ayon sa Forbes.

May $3.6 bilyon net worth naman ang mga Aboitiz na nasa ika-44 na pwesto.

"The family, known to hold reunions for 400-plus relatives, has a constitution and formal process for those descendants interested in joining the company and/or working their way up to management," base sa Forbes.

Ang pamilyang Lee mula South Korea ang pinakamayaman sa Asya na may $26.6 bilyon net worth.
