Joy Cantos - Pilipino Star Ngayon

Pinangunahan nina AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Gregorio Pio Catapang Jr., at Navy Chief Vice Admiral Jesus Millan ang send-off ceremony sa Villamor Air Base para sa 18th AFP contingent ng United Peace Keeping Force to Haiti.

“Alam n’yo kasi ang Filipino ayaw n’ya yung mapapahiya yung bansa nya eh, it’s always our national pride, its a source of national pride yung pagiging sundalo, lalo na kung naka-deploy ka sa abroad, you have to maintain standards and then yung image,” pahayag ni Catapang.

“This contingent will fill-up the Philippines’ annual contribution of troops to the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH), which was the area of concern of the Philippine Navy since the 1stgroup of PN peacekeepers was deployed,” pahayag pa ng opisyal.
