Arrest warrant vs Lee, Cornejo inilabas na

MANILA, Philippines — Inilabas na ng korte ang arrest warrant para sa negosyanteng si Cedric Lee, modelong si Deniece Cornejo at lima pa nilang kasamahan, ayon kay Justice Secretary Leila de Lima ngayong Lunes.

Si Judge Bernard Bernal ng Taguig Metropolitan Trial Court ang naglabas ng arrest warrant para sa kasong grave coercion na isinampa ni TV host Vhong Navarro laban kina Lee at Cornejo.

Kasamang pinaaaresto ng korte sina Bernice Lee, Simeon "Zimmer" Raz, Jose Paolo Calma, Ferdinand Guerrero, at Jed Fernandez matapos ang pambubugbog kay Navarro noong Enero sa loob ng Forbeswood Heights condominium.

Maaaring makapagpiyansa ang mga suspek para sa naturang kaso.

Sinabi ni De Lima noong Huwebes na pinagbasehan ng Department of Justice na ituloy ang kasong grave coercion nang sapilitang paaminin ng grupo ni Lee si Navarro sa paggahasa umano kay Cornejo.

Base pa sa salaysay ni Navarro na sapilitan din ang pagpirma niya sa police blotter report.

"The respondents have no right to compel Navarro to admit a crime, nor had they a right to bring Navarro to the police station to admit the commission of a crime," pahayag ng DOJ.

Bukod sa grave coercion ay nahaharap din ang grupo ni Lee at Cornejo sa kasong serious illegal detention na walang piyansa.

"The vivid recollection of complainant Navarro of what occurred on 22 January 2014, from the time he entered the condominium unit of Cornejo up to the time he was brought out of the said place, clearly shows that Navarro was actually restrained or deprived of his liberty against his will," sabi ng DOJ.

Sa ngayon ay hindi pa naipapalabas ang arrest warrant para sa kasong serious illegal detention.

Kanina ay sinubukang lumabas ng bansa ni Guerrero ngunit hindi napurnada ito matapos kuwestiyunin ng immigration officer sa Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
