Hospital arrest hiling ni Napoles

MANILA, Philippines – Nais ng kampo ng itinuturong mastermind sa likod ng pork barrel scam na si Janet Lim-Napoles na ma-hospital arrest dahil sa iniindang sakit.

Naghain ng apat na pahinang "Urgent Motion To Conduct Medical Examination," si Napoles sa pamamagitan ng kanyang abogadong si Fay Isaguirre Singson sa Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 150 upang makalabas ng Fort Sto. Domingo sa Sta. Rosa City, Laguna para makapagpatingin sa St. Luke's Hospital at the Bonifacio Global City in Taguig City .

Hinala nila ay mayroong “ovarian tumor” si Napoles kaya naman nais nilang ipasuri ito kay Obstetrician at Gynecologist (OB-GYN) Dr. Elsie Badillo-Pascua.

Anila hindi ito maaaring magawa sa loob ng kulungan ni Napoles dahil sa kakulangan ng kagamitan.

"These comprehensive examinations and medical procedures cannot be conducted inside the Fort Sto. Domingo, where accused is currently detained, for lack of facilities," pahayag ni Singson.

Sinabi ni Singson na sinuri naman ng mga doktor ng Philippine National Police si Napoles ngunit hanggang ngayon ay wala pa ang resulta.

Nakasaad sa mosyon ni Singson na isinugod sa Southern Luzon Hospital and Medical Center si Napoles noong Oktubre 24 dahil sa pagdaing ng abdominal pains at profuse menstrual bleeding ng siyam na araw.

Bukod dito ay sinuri rin ni St. Luke's Global City, Dr. Michael Lim Villa si Napoles nang dumaing ng hypoglycemia, drastic weight loss, chest pains, severe abdominal pains at profuse menstrual bleeding noong Disymebre 14.

Sabi pa ni Singson na inirekomenda ni Pascua na sumailalim sa transvaginal ultrasound examination at comprehensive medical check-up si Napoles.

"Despite the medical advice as of December 19, 2013, of Dr. Pascua for the comprehensive gynecological work up and transvaginal ultrasound examination of herein accused, she opted to suffer in silence and endure the pain in solitude, in order to spare her family from worrying, as well as to avoid unnecessary media attention. Considering further that at that time, accused has a pending petition for bail, she was hoping that should it be granted, her temporary liberty would enable her undergo such tests. Unfortunately, her petition for bail has been denied. And very recently, on February 13, 2014, her motion for reconsideration on the petition has been denied as well. So much that accused is constrained to file this instant motion," nakasaad pa sa mosyon ni Singson.

"Depending on the outcome of her examination and upon the advice of her doctor, should confinement be necessary, it is also most respectfully requested that accused be placed under hospital arrest also at the St. Luke's Hospital, Global City, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City, Metro Manila," dagdag ng abogado.
