Mag-asawang lider ng NPA timbog sa MM
MANILA, Philippines - Isang intelligence officer na sinasabing lider ng rebeldeng New People’s Army (NPA) at asawa nito ang nadakip ng mga awtoridad sa Marikina City kamakalawa ng gabi.
Batay sa ulat ng Eastern Police District (EPD), sina Juan Pablo Versoza at asawang si Grace ay nadakip sa isinagawa nilang operasyon dakong alas-10:30 ng gabi sa Barangay Barangka sa Marikina.
Ayon kay EPD- intelligence unit chief Col. Remus Medina, si Versoza ang intelligence officer at isa mga lider ng Samar Provincial Party Committee sa ilalim ng Eastern Visayas Regional Party Committee ng NPA.
Sinasabing si Grace naman ay nagsisilbing medical officer at staff member ng Regional Production Bureau ng nasabi ring NPA committee.
Ang dalawa ay nabatid na kapwa may nakabinbing warrant of arrest sa kasong robbery with homicide at illegal possession of explosives sa hukuman.
Sumasailalim na ang dalawa sa tactical interrogation ng EPD.
“The arrest is a big blow to the NPA in Samar. Arrest of other NPA personalities is expected to follow as common people are now reporting the locations of NPA leaders and their subordinates,†ani Army’s 8th Infantry Division (ID) spokesman Captain Amado Gutierrez.
