Nanggulong Taguig POSO sa McKinley road pinasusuko ni Binay

MANILA, Philippines – Nanawagan si Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin Binay kay Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano na isuko ang mga miyembro ng Public Order and Safety Office (POSO) na nanggulo sa McKinley Road sa Forbes Park kahapon.

Nahuli sa Closed-circuit Television (CCTV) Camera ang pagbabaklas ng Taguig POSO ng mga banner ng Makati City na nakalagay ang “Makati BGC” na nagdulot ng kaguluhan sa lugar.

“It is clear that Taguig personnel did not just create a disturbance in Makati; they broke the law. Thus, they should be held criminally liable for their actions.I am appealing to Mayor Lani to please surrender to the authorities the Taguig employees who committed the crime,” pahayag ni Binay.

“We hope they will not get a mere verbal reprimand for their actions, and be made to face the full force of the law,” dagdag niya.

Nakita rin sa CCTV camera ang pananakit ng Taguig POSO sa isang tauhan ng barangay Southside matapos siyang kumuha ng larawan gamit ang kanyang cellphone.

“The CCTV footage clearly shows the Taguig employees who were involved in the incident, including the POSO employee who was caught allegedly with a gun in his possession. Through the testimonies of eyewitnesses, it is evident that he was involved in the incident,” banggit ni Binay.

Sinabi ni Binay na mula nang katigan ng Court of Appeals ang kanilang petisyon sa pag-angkin sa Bonifacio Global City ay hindi tumigil ang mga tauhan ng Taguig sa panggugulo.

“Ever since the Court of Appeals issued its decision returning jurisdiction over the Inner Fort to Makati, Taguig personnel have been relentless in their bullying and harassment of Makati City Hall employees and ordinary residents,” sabi ni Binay.

“But the incident yesterday at McKinley was the last straw. And we cannot let this pass,” dagdag ni Binay tungkol sa insidente sa kalye ng Kalayaan nang magpang-abot naman ang Makati police at Taguig police.

Sinabi ni Binay na mukhang inutusan ang mga tauhan ng Taguig POSO na baklasin ang mga banner.

“If only one or two were involved, it could be claimed that their actions were unauthorized. But with groups of ten or twenty people, mostly wearing ‘I Love Taguig’ shirts, involved in these incidents, it is difficult to believe that their actions sowing chaos in Makati have been done of their own volition,” ani Binay.
