P13-M gamit sa paggawa ng droga dinurog ng PDEA

MANILA, Philippines – Aabot sa P13 milyong halaga ng mga kagamitan sa paggawa ng ilegal na droga, kabilang ang shabu, ang sinira ng Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) ngayong Huwebes.

Sinabi ni PDEA director general Arturo Cacdac Jr. na sinira ang mga kemikal at laboratory equipments gamit ang chemical treatment sa Green Plants Management Inc., sa Valenzuela City.

Umabot sa 387.67 kilo ng liquid chemicals na sinira ang toluene, hydrochloric acid, ethyl alcohol, chloroform, methyl ethyl ketone and acetone, habang 6,037.65 kilo ang inabot ng solid chemicals na red phosphorus, sodium acetate, barium sulfate, sodium hydroxide at carbon, gayun din ang iba’t ibang kagamitan sa laboratoryo na tinatayang aabot sa P12.92 milyon.

"These are part of the pieces of drug evidence seized from operations conducted by PDEA combined with those turned over by other partner drug law enforcement agencies," sabi ni Cacdac.

Ang ginawang hakbang ng PDEA ay naaayon sa Republic Act 9165 o Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, at sa Dangerous Drugs Board Regulation No.1, governing the custody and disposition of seized dangerous drugs, chemicals and laboratory equipment.

Sinaksihan ang pagsira ng mga kagamitang pandroga nina Supreme Court administrator Jose Midas Marquez at mga kinatawan ng Department of Justice, Department of Interior and Local Government at non-government organizations. - Dennis Carcamo
