Ang resulta nawawala  at bumababa  rin  ang muscle mass at calories.  Sa edad na 20s ay mataas pa ang muscle at bone mass. Kapag 30 years  old ay mas marami nang nabi-burn na oxygen at energy. Kung 40 years old  ay  humihina  na ang estrogen production at bumabagal na ang metabolism. Sa edad na 50 years old nababawasan na ang  level ng hormones na respondable sa pananatili ng lean muscle mass at bone density.
