Ang taong kumakain ng avocado ay bumababa ang cholesterol ng 17%. Ang abokado ay sinasabing good monounsaturated fat. Ang abokado na fatty fruit ay mayaman sa cholesterol-cutting beta-sitosterol. Natural na pampababa rin ng cholesterol ang bawang, fatty fish, nuts, tea, at dark non-milk chocolate.
