Parang Kris Aquino

Aniya sa isang post kahapon: “It’s been a real roller coaster these past months. I was diagnosed with an auto immune disease called myasthenia gravis which has made building muscle a real struggle. But I’m so thankful for the strength I’ve found. Thank you @coach.iya. Walking for Bench was a powerful reminder of what’s possible even when things are tough. To all my fellow moms and Gen Xers, never give up on your dreams. Thank you Sir @bcbench for making mine a reality. I’m so honored to be part of the Bench family. The show was incredible.

Ayon sa mayoclinic.org, walang gamot ang ganitong sakit: “Myasthenia gravis (my-us-THEE-nee-uh GRAY-vis) causes muscles under your voluntary control to feel weak and get tired quickly. This happens when the communication between nerves and muscles breaks down.

“There’s no cure for myasthenia gravis. Treatment can help with symptoms. These symptoms can include weakness of arm or leg muscles, double vision, drooping eyelids, and problems with speaking, chewing, swallowing and breathing.

“This disease can affect people of any age, but it’s more common in women younger than 40 and in men older than 60.”

Nabanggit niya sa huling post na: “Previously, I enumerated my autoimmune conditions: 1. Autoimmune Thyroiditis; 2. Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria; 3. EGPA (a rare, life-threatening form of Vasculitis); 4. Systemic Sclerosis; 5. Lupus/SLE; and 6. Rheumatoid Arthritis. Added to that list is 7. Fibromyalgia. I have also been exhibiting confirmatory symptoms for 8. Polymyositis and 9. Mixed Connective Tissue Disease,” pagbabahagi niya.

“I think, the producers sustain the industry, helping the producers, and at the same time, making them finally realize na hindi ka lang dapat mag-depend sa local market. Kailangan mo talaga mag-explore. Yes, mag-explore talaga.

The moment [na gumaling] sila, nagma-migrate. So, pinu-push namin ang animation business dito. And if you look around, ang daming animation content at ang kulang lang sa atin ay ‘yung laman ng ginagawa nating animation to make it global. Ikalawa ‘yong documentary. ‘Di ba mayroon ngayon ‘yong controversy sa documentary? Documentary filmmaking. And then third is the short films. Kasi may market ‘yan. Pero kasi we want to do full-length features.

“Everybody is in a dysfunctional condition kasi we are going through a period of painful transition. [And] one thing is we cannot go back to 2018, the pre-pandemic days. Because it has changed. The pandemic really changed all of us. Changed our [way of living].

“We are talking now [about] the reasons for suffering, except for two countries, except for Indonesia and Malaysia. [Both] nagta-thrive and that’s mainly because very-very nationalist ang mga tao na iyon. Pina-patrionize ang mga gawa ng locals. And secondly, these countries are not primarily English speaking. So, they need subtitles to make them really watch what they like. The rest—Korea—is in a bad state. Although ang daming factors eventually brought that. So we’re not fully the ones who are suffering; it’s a worldwide thing. Tapos in-admit ng CEA, Representative of Cinema Exhibitor’s Association, na ‘yong box-office receipt ng January 2025 is only 41% from January 2024.
