“The MMFF would like to thank all the stakeholders and the public for making its 50th edition one for the books,” ayon sa kanilang statement.

Inilabas din nila ang top entries based on gross sales receipts in alphabetical order – And The Breadwinner Is..., Green Bones, and The Kingdom.

“Rest assured that the MMFF will continue all efforts by encouraging our stakeholders, especially the local entertainment industry, to create quality films. The key to our success is in collaborating, helping and supporting each other instead of fuelling divisiveness, coming out with unsubstantiated claims, and sweeping judgments,” pahayag ni MMDA/MMFF Chair Don Artes.

“We did our best to give the public the best edition of the MMFF for its Golden Year. There are lessons to be learned, but we acknowledge the great effort and sacrifice given by the ones who were part of this milestone festival. It was a success as it upped the standards from the previous MMFFs, and by saying so, we redefined our indicators beyond box office returns, which is worthy of another study, moving forward,” pagdidiin ni Chair Artes.

Mula sa Star Cinema at The IdeaFirst Company, kasama rin sa And The Breadwinner Is… sina Eugene Domingo, Malou De Guzman, Joel Torre, Jhong Hilario, Gladys Reyes, Maris Racal, Anthony Jennings, Kokoy De Santos, Lassy Marquez, MC Muah, Via Antonio, Kiko Matos, Argus Aspiras, at Kulot Caponpon.

“In the long run, we’ll realize that it’s not such a good idea that I don’t want to change because we make mistakes because we were supposed to learn from those mistakes. Ngayon, if you keep making the same mistake, then that’s a whole different story, ‘no? But I think it’s okay lang tayong magkamali because we’re supposed to learn. How do we know, right? Paano natin malalaman kung happy tayo o ‘di pa tayo nakaka-experience kung paano maging malungkot? So I wouldn’t change anything because all those experiences make me who I am,” katwiran niya sa tanong namin para ikonek sa title ng kanyang concert.

“Constantly, yes. Kahit ‘yung mga three songs, three songs lang. I think most artists, karamihan sa aming mga singer, do that. We’re all perfectionists. Ganon, pinipintasan mo ‘yung sarili mo. It is because we want to give our audience a more or less perfect concert or performance every single time. But we’re human beings; hindi kami robot na every concert pwedeng perfect.

“Walang ganun, eh. Kasi depende ‘yon sa kondisyon ng katawan mo, kung ano ‘yung estado mo, kasi kasama pati feelings kung ano ang estado mo as a person that time, naa-affect ang performance mo. So we aim for perfection, which we actually never achieve,” paliwanag niya.

Dagdag pa niya : “That’s why we constantly think about each, and we nitpick each and every performance. And the thing is, while you’re performing, you already know you made a mistake. Like ako, I can predict ko na kung kelan ako magkakamali but I still make a mistake because we’re human beings,” mahabang paliwanag pa ni Regine.
