Ice, napa-goat kay Celine Dion!

Namangha pa rin ang lahat sa husay ni Celine Dion nang mag-perform siya sa Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony.

Apat na taon ding hindi napanood mag-perform si Celine.

Si Celine Dion ay may bihirang autoimmune neurological disorder na nagdudulot ng paninigas ng kalamnan na tinatawag na stiff person syndrome.

Pero parang walang nagbago.

Andun ang husay niya.

Kasabay nito ay nagpasalamat sa social media accounts niya si Celine. “I’m honored to have performed tonight, for the Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony, and so full of joy to be back in one of my very favorite cities! Most of all, I’m so happy to be celebrating these amazing athletes, with all their stories of sacrifice and determination, pain and perseverance.

Kasama naman ang 22 Filipino athletes na hahanap ng swerte ng medalya sa Paris Olympics na nag-umpisa sa isang parada sa Seine River na dumaan sa mga makasaysayang landmark sa Paris.

Hindi naman nakita ni Ice Seguerra na nagkasakit si Celine na aniya ay halos 10 thousand niya pinanood ang performance nito.

“Parang mga ten thousand times ko na napanood yung performance ni Celine Dion sa Olympics. Kahit di ko pa napanood yung docu niya (which is intentional dahil hindi ko kayang panoorin), I closely followed the news about her.

“Knowing what she’s been through (and still going through), seeing her performance deserves all the praise. What a feat! She’s always owned any stage she’s been on pero iba tong na witness ko na command niya. It felt like it was coming from a power deep within. A source no one, nor any illness, can ever touch. She shone brighter than a phoenix.

Heart, dumalaw sa mga napinsalang pets

Hindi lang naman talaga ang libu-libong tao ang naapektuhan ng bagyong Carina kundi pati na rin ang mga alagang hayop nila.

Kaya pinuntahan ng Senate Spouses Foundation (SSF) ang Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS), na pinangunahan ni Heart Evangelista. Kasama niya si Ms. Kathryna Pimentel, wife ni Sen. Koko Pimentel.

Paalala nga ni Heart, kailangan pa ng mga generous para sa furbabies at pet owners.

“No one should be left behind and that means humans and pets alike in times of calamities.

“The SSFI has been blessed with partners who are also looking after the welfare of animals, sending dog and cat food for the furbabies left homeless by the typhoon.

“What better way to reach out to as many abandoned pets as possible than through and with PAWS Philippines. They have always been part of the National Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council, rescuing animals left behind in times of calamities.

“Today we did a quick pop in at PAWS to drop off some supplies for the resident dogs and the rescued ones. We were toured around and were able to listen to the happy and sad stories of the pets in their care.

“SSFI is one with PAWS in calling against animal cruelty.

“Please spread the word, PAWS is still in need of your generosity for the furbabies and pet owners left homeless by the storm.”

Ang dami talagang nangangailangan sa kasalukuyan lalo na ‘yung mga bahay na pinasok ng tubig at putik na may mga alagang hayop.
