Jaclyn kinalimutan ang cannes sa bagong indie!

Pagkatapos manalo bilang Best Actress sa Cannes International Film Festival, Jaclyn Jose is back on the big screen via her new indie film, ang Patay na si Hesus na entry for this year’s QCinema International Film Festival na nagsimula na last Oct. 13 and will run until Oct. 22.

Sa gala screening held last Sunday, punung-puno ang Cineplex Cinema 1 ng Gateway Mall at halatang nag-enjoy ang mga manonood sa mga nakakatuwang eksena ng pelikula.

Kakaibang Jaclyn ang mapapanood dito sa kanyang role na Iyay, isang single mom na may apat na anak.

Nakausap namin si Jaclyn sandali after the gala screening at natanong namin sa kanya kung may expectation ba siyang mananalo siya ulit ng award in this film.

“Wala, hindi tayo nag-e-expect ng kahit na ano. Ang sa akin lang, ‘yung movie, tangkilikin lang, okay na. At saka, hindi naman natin tinanggap ito para manalo ulit,” she said.

Sobrang nag-e-enjoy daw siya sa paggawa ng indi film and what she likes most about it ay ang freedom or kalayaan na magawa mo ang gusto mong gawin for the scene.

Ayon naman sa batang-batang Cebuano na direktor ng pelikula na si Victor Villanueva, talagang sobrang bumilib siya sa pagka-professional ni Jaclyn and at the same time, of course, na-intimidate siya at first dahil nga Cannes Best Actress ang ididirek niya.

“Working with her was an experience because veteran siya so she was able to help me sa pag-build up sa character,” sabi ni direk.

Sa pelikula ay maraming Vizayan dialogue si Jaclyn ay ayon kay direk ay nag-workshop pa ang aktres ng Vizayan dialect for one and a half months.

Ayon kay Kiana Valenciano, napag-uusapan din daw nila ng Kuya Gab niya ang ilan sa mga issues na kinasasangkutan nito ngayon partikular na nga ang marital problem and separation with wife, Tricia Centenera.
