Greatly affected si Iza Calzado sa pagpanaw ni Kuya Germs (German Moreno). Since tatay-tatayan daw ang turing niya sa TV host-comedian.

Daig pa raw sa magkapatid ang turingan nito at ng kanyang late Dad, former choreographer turned TV director, Lito Calzado.

Si Direk Lito ang direktor ng Walang Tulugan, hanggang sa binawian ito ng buhay.

Lately, marami ang nakakahalatang wala pa yatang sinisimulang project si Iza, mapa-TV o pelikula.

In any case, Iza revealed she and boyfriend, Ben Wintle, plus his fa­mily, spent the Holidays outside the country.

Janella at Elmo swak ang pagtatambal

Janella Salvador and Elmo Magalona may look like a promising match.

More so, siguro, kapag nag-start nang isahimpapawid ang kanilang first series together, ang Born For You.

But it cannot be denied either na successful din ang team-up nila ni  Marlo Mortel, who was Janella’s leading man in three projects. Inclu­ding the still currently showing Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, Haunted Mansion, produced by Regal Entertainment.

Haunted Mansion, which also stars Jerome Ponce, ay no. 3 sa MMFF 2015.

Naniniwala sina Janella and Elmo believe they were both born to be in showbiz, as their respective parents and relatives are themselves in the field, too.

Janella’s Mom Janine Desiderio, for one, appeared in the West End play in London. Miss Saigon. Her Dad, Juan Miguel Salvador, is to date, known as rock singer.

There are many Salvadors in showbiz, who are her relatives. And to name a few, Phillip Salvador, Maja Salvador and Ricky Rivero, who directs the upcoming Tasya Fantasya series on TV5, topbilled by Shy Carlos.

Ricky’s Mom, Tess Salvador, ay sister nina Phillip at Alona Alegre (now retired from showbiz).

Elmo’s Dad naman is the late King of Rap, Francis Magalona. He has a sister in showbiz too, Maxene Magalona, who, like him, had turned Kapamilya, too.

They both started their showbiz careers with GMA 7.

Nora mapipilitang ‘magbago’ kung papayagang palitan si Kuya Germs

Do you know Salve A., that it was Superstar Nora Aunor pala who gave the late German Moreno’s famous moniker in showbiz, Kuya Germs?

The two, no doubt, were as close as can be. Binanggit pa nga ni Nora na bago si Kuya Germs namatay, nang nagkita sila minsan, inabutan pa siya nito ng pera.

Kung sabagay, may pinagsamahan talaga ang dalawa. Pareho silang sa Sampaguita Pictures nagsimula.

Years din ang binilang ng kanilang pinagsamahang programang musical, ang Superstar.

It was Kuya Germs who somehow convinced Nora to give showbiz another try, samantalang desidido na sana si Nora to spend the rest of her life in the U.S.

In any case, kung halimbawang pagbigyan, Salve A., ng GMA 7 ang offer ni Nora na siya ang magpatuloy ng programang Walang Tulugan, sana she will give it the same dedication, professionalism, pagmamahal at concern na ginawa ni  Kuya Germs for the show. Including those involved in it, specially ang staff at mga baguhang talents na umaasang matutulungan sila ng programa na sumikat.
