Bebe Love at #WalangForever tig-dalawang best picture Jericho best actor, acting ni John Lloyd nabalewala?!

Two best picture award each ang natanggap ng My Bebe Love #KiligPaMore at #WalangForever, sa katatapos na 41st Metro Manila Film Festival Gabi ng Parangal na idinaos sa Kia Theater sa Araneta Center, Cubao, Quezon City. Ang #WalangForever ay tumanggap ng FPJ Memorial Award for Excellence at Best Festival Picture. Tinanggap naman ng My Bebe Love #KiligPaMore ang Third Best Festival Picture at Gat Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award.

Sa acting award, nakuha ni Maine Mendoza (Yaya Dub) ang best supporting actress award sa My Bebe Love at sina Jennylyn Mercado at Jericho Rosales naman ang naging best actress at best actor respectively sa #WalangForever. Medyo nagkaroon ng problema ng maling cue card ang naibigay sa presenter na si Janine Gutierrez. Pagkakamali iyon ng gumawa ng cue cards dahil ang Gat Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award ang nilagyan niya ng tatlong best picture award. Madali rin namang naipaliwanag at in-announce na ang third festival best picture award ay ang My Bebe Love at ang second best picture ay Buy Now, Die Later at Best Festival Picture nga ang #WalangForever. Nilinaw din na ang My Bebe Love ang sole winner ng Gat Antonio J. Villegas Cultural Award.

Naging gabi rin ito ng ilang paglalabas ng sama ng loob. Matatalim ang mga pinost sa Twitter ni Direk Erik Matti sa pagka-disqualified for the best picture award ng Honor Thy Father pero ang mga technical at acting award ay hindi naman disqualified. Matindi rin ang thank you speech dapat ng representative ni Direk Erik Matti, na pagkatapos ay nag-walk out daw ang mga taga-Honor Thy Father na nag-attend ng awards night. Nakiusap naman si Atty. Joji Alonso ng Quantum Films sa moviegoers na panooring lahat ng mga pelikulang kalahok sa festival, huwag ang dalawa lamang. Pero naniniwala kami na, aakyat sa box-office ang #WalangForever tulad din ng nangyari last year sa English Only, Please dahil maganda ang movie at mahusay na nagampanan ng cast.

Mahusay ang paghu-host nina Richard Gutierrez at KC Concepcion na pangatlong taon na niya itong pagho-host ng Gabi Ng Parangal. Sa unang dalawang taon, ang co-host ni KC ay si Kris Aquino.
