Pinay waging Miss Earth 2015!

Wow, six years mula nang mapanalunan ni Karla Henry from Cebu ang Miss Earth 2008 title at nakuha naman ni Jamie Herrel last year ang 2014 title, heto at meron na uli tayong bagong Miss Earth.

Well, let’s all give a big hand to Angelia Ong, newly crowned Miss Earth 2015 during the Coronation night na ginanap noong December 5 sa Marx Halle in Vienna, Austria.

The question asked for her in the Q&A (question and answer) portion was to come up with a slogan for the next 15 years of Miss Earth.

Ang kanyang sagot: “We will, because we can (meaning patuloy na mamayagpag ang Miss Earth Contest). “I want everybody to know that all things are possible, and things are feasible if we work together. We will, because we can.”

Well, in the country, we have a Miss Earth from Brazil, the former Priscilla Meirelles, now Mrs. John Estrada.

The couple are parents to a three-year-old girl.

Of Angelia, who was runner-up in a Ms. Manila Contest, organized by Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, two years ago, she is a talent of Farah Ramos-Dumalagan.

Congrats, Angelia.

Bailey at Ylona, dagdag-kilig sa OTWOL

Guess who has been added, too, sa cast ng On The Wings of Love (OTWL), aside from Paulo Avelino, na gumaganap na isang advertising executive na magiging boss ni Nadine Lustre (as Lea), and eventually ay magkakagusto sa kanya?

Ano kaya ang mangyayari kapag nalaman ito ni Clark (James Reid)?

Well, abangan na lang natin sa mga susunod na kabanata ng OTWOL.

Ngayon to the question, ang sagot, 14-year-old Bailey May, who is proving a standout, anyway you look at him.

Paired with Bailey in OTWOL is his fellow Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) All In Teen housemate, is 15-year-old Ylona Garcia.

Sina Bailey at Ylona ay parehong PBB contestant sa abroad, si Bailey sa United Kingdom, at si Ylona naman ay sa Australia.

They both have Filipino running in their respective veins, though.

Napanood na si Bailey in last Friday’s episode. This coming Monday malamang na mapanood na ng viewers ng OTWOL si Ylona.

Paulo, ibang-iba ang ipinakikita kay Nadine

Samantala, iba ang dating ni Paulo sa OTWOL, compared sa mga role na kanya nang ginampanan sa ilan niyang projects, kabilang na ang Bridges of Love.

Wala pa siyang mga eksena with either James or Nadine, nor any of the major members of the cast of OTWOL.

Heard na hanggang next year pa ang airing ng OTWOL, which is a production of Dreamscape Television Entertainment, headed by Deo Edrinal.

Dingdong at Jessa, binalikan ang nakaraan

Dingdong Avanzado reportedly is gi­ving up his political career, all because he wants to focus his attention muna sa kanyang wife and kid.

Dingdong’s wife, of course, is singer Jessa Zaragoza. Their daughter, Jayda, wants to follow both their footsteps as singers.

Dingdong, as we all know, was a full-time singer before. Kaya nga, nagtagpo ang landas nila ni Jessa, who, in her time, was known as the Pheno­menal Diva and Jukebox Queen.

Dingdong is incumbent Vice Go­vernor of Siquijor. He could have run either for re-election or no less than the Governorship, had the chosen, too.

Pero sabi ni Dingdong, Jessa convinced him not to run anymore. She even promised to try to get pregnant again kapag iniwan na ni Dingdong ang pulitika.

Thus, like Jessa, Dingdong hopes to get back in the concert scene, but as director muna of Jessa’s upcoming concert at the Music Museum, I am Me, on January 15.

Excited ang mag-asawa sa darating na concert maging ang kanilang anak na si Jayda. For the first time kasi she will perform with her Mom on stage and before a hopefully, big crowd.

Dingdong eventually, too, hopes to hold gigs, with his band, The Doorbells.
