As is common knowledge, sequel itong A Second Chance ng isa sa pinakamatagumpay na movie nina John Lloyd at Bea, ang One More Chance, na ang nag-Direk din ay si Direk Cathy.
One More Chance was not only a blockbuster, it created some sort of a cult following. Na ayon sa tatlo, ay mahirap biguin. Dapat lang na mas hangaan ng mga ito ang A Second Chance.
Natural lang na in the eight years mula nang ipinalabas ng Star Cinema ang One More Chance, the audience which watched the movie, like Bea, John Lloyd and Direk Cathy, have not only grown up kundi, nag-improve lalo ang taste nila sa klase ng movie na kanilang pinanonood.
Ayon kay Direk Cathy, continuation talaga ang A Second Chance ng namagitang reconciliation between Popoy and Basha, the characters played by John Lloyd and Bea, respectively, supposedly where they give each other another chance at love.
This time, ayon kay Direk Cathy, at maging kina John Lloyd at Bea rin, A Second Chance explores the ups and downs of married life extensively.
Both John Lloyd at Bea, na hindi pa nararanasang ikasal, have learned a lot from their respective roles. Which, they think, will benefit them a lot, kapag kapwa na sila nag-asawa.
They hope too, ito rin ang naramdaman ng mga manonood ng A Second Chance, may asawa man o wala pa, disregarding din kung ano ang gender nila.
Written and scripted by Carmi Raymundo and Vanessa Valdez, A Second Chance will open in theaters nationwide on November 25. Producer is Star Cinema.
Bea Saw umaasang magkaka-second chance ang career
Co-starring with John Lloyd and Bea Alonzo in A Second Chance are in the original cast of One More Chance: Bea Saw, Ahron Villena, at Janus del Prado.
Bea (Saw), a former Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) champ, said nauntol daw ang kanyang hangaring sumikat na artista dahil nag-asawa at nagkaanak kaagad ng dalawa.
Kaya, grateful daw siya sa Star Cinema at direk Cathy Garcia-Molina for allowing her a second chance na makabalik-showbiz. This time daw, she hopes magkakaroon siya ng chances na sumikat na talaga.
Ahron Villena, of course, is currently being linked to comedienne Cacai Bautista, isa sa paboritong celebrities na kasali sa sikat na impersonation show, Your Face Sounds Familiar.
Magkaibigan silang matalik ni Janus, who, like him, believes na walang dahilan kung bakit hindi mo mapagbibigyan ng another chance ang isang dating minamahal, if she has failed you. Not just once but a third time.
As he said: ‘‘Ganyan nga siguro ang nagmamahal. Nabubulag ka sa mga pagkakamaling ginawa ng iyong minamahal.
‘‘Lalo’t sincere naman siya sa paghingi ng second chance.’’
Na inayunan ni Janus, who admits he is currently in a relationship, with someone who is not in showbiz.
Both John Lloyd and Bea ay parehong in love. John Lloyd with actress Angelica Panganiban and Bea with Zanjoe Marudo.
Both apparently have no reasons to give their respective current love ones a second chance, since they are both proving to be ideal mates. And vice versa.
They both keep their fingers crossed na ang pagiging kapwa stable ng kanilang relasyon ay forever na.
