Angel kusang loob binitawan at pinakawalan ang Darna

Bagama’t nanghihinayang, kusang-loob daw ang desisyon ni Angel Locsin na i-give up na ang tsansang gumanap sa movie version ng iconic komiks character na si Darna.

Matatandaang ang TV version nito ay ginampanan ni Angel noong under contract pa siya sa GMA 7.

Kaya, laking tuwa daw niya when with her transfer to the Kapamilya Network, she was told na gagawin niya for Star Cinema ang movie version ng Darna.

“Na-excite ako, aaminin ko,” ani Angel. “Kaya, nearly two years kong pinagpreparahan ito.

“Kung anu-anong training ang in-undergo ko, just to keep my body trim and fit for the role.”

But as Angel herself told Boy Abunda in the latter’s show, Tonight with Boy Abunda, when things are not really meant to be, it really won’t happen.

It was Angel, Star Cinema and ABS-CBN’s decision, according to a press statement issued by the Networks ABS-CBN Corporate Communication, headed by Kane Errol Choa, mutual agreement for Angel to no longer do tha Darna movie, for reasons of Angel’s health.

Her rigorous training regimen, the statement read, may have caused Angel to develop, to use a medical term, a disc bulge in her spine.

Kaya, her doctor advised her to limit her doing strenuous activities, which would have been a must sa pelikulang Darna, for her role would require her to do a lot of liftings, stunts and the usage of harness.

“I am grateful to my bosses in ABS-CBN, since their priority is my health. And, of course safety,” pahayag ni Angel.

But, of course, her health condition notwithstanding, Angel will still continue to do films.

‘Di na nga lang as rigorous, kumbaga, as the Darna movie.

Kasalukuyang nagsu-shoot si Angel ng pelikulang All of My Life with Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto, which, if plans do not miscarry will be released in early January.

The Network is also preparing a new series for her.

Atak may sariling concert na, dati alalay lang ng mga sikat

Congratulations nga pala sa puwedeng ituring na underrated comedian na si Atak Arana, who, we see daily, as one of the brief case “beauties” sa programang Deal or No Deal, hosted by Luis Manzano.

Kasama rin si Atak sa upcoming horror-comedy movie ng Viva Films na Wang Fam, starring Pokwang, Benjie Paras, Joey Paras, Candy Pangilian and child actor Alonzo Muhlach.

Wang Fam, directed by Wenn Deramas, reunites the tandem nina Andre Paras at Yassi Pressman.

Of Atak, he is featured in a concert, titled A.T.A.K.: A Totally Awesome Konsert: Moment Ko ‘To, at the Music Museum, October 30, 8:00 p.m.

Ilan sa mga guest ni Atak sa nasabing concert ay sina Jolina Magdangal, Young JV, Carlo Aquino, at Arnel Ignacio.

Atak said he used to play alalay to some sikat na artista, when Direk Wenn noticed that he is a natural comedian.

“Kaya, kung anuman ang little na narating ko sa showbiz ngayon, utang ko ‘yun kay Direk Wenn. Salamat Direk Wenn,” pahayag pa ni Atak.

Anne gusto nang mapangasawa si Erwann

Anne Curtis, now in her 30’s, sees herself ending up with boyfriend Erwann Heusaff.

Taon na rin kasi ang binilang ng kanilang relasyon.

And, as far as Anne is concerned, one will not get into a long-term relationship, kung hindi nila nakikita ang sariling ending up with each other.

Before Erwann, naka-on din ni Anne si Sam Milby, na hanggang ngayon ay loveless pa rin.

Erwann is the younger and only brother ng aktres na si Solenn Heusaff.
