Sa amerika magre-retire Sharon napapagod na sa mga nangyayari sa ating bayan

MANILA, Philippines – Napapagod at nalulungkot si Megastar Sharon Cuneta sa nangyayari sa bansa natin sa kasalukuyan. Ayon kay Shawie, minsan gusto na niyang lumayas sa Pilipinas at mag-retiro na lang sa Amerika.

Natatakot na raw siya sa nangyayari lalo na para sa kanyang mga anak.

Kasalukuyang nasa Los Angeles, California ang pamilya nila ni Sen. Kiko Pangilinan.

Yesterday, KC went with Kiko and her siblings to her favorite restaurant. I stayed home cos I was still fighting off jetlag a bit. After they got back, we left agad to watch “Home” at our neighborhood sinehan while KC stayed home to nap naman. Kiko and I fell asleep in the theater! Hahaha! Okay lang cos our babies loved the movie.

Kakie is also happier now because her Ate Hannah (her cousin, daughter of Anthony and Maricel Laxa-P.) is here with us. Wish her other cousin and Ate, Stella was also here!

KC followed to dinner at a Japanese-Korean BBQ restaurant nearby also. Then umuwi na kami cos we didn’t realize it was way past 10pm na pala!

My babies call this happy place of ours “home.” I must admit that every once in a while, I cannot help but imagine living here also someday... I hope to retire in 4-5 years, and here is one of those places that are in my shortlist for “back-and-forthing” -- or living in na talaga someday... (Aba I can also naman apply for a job at TFC! Hahaha! Basta Kapamilya pa rin!)

I love the Philippines but maybe it is always in the back of my head that all this gulo in our country might become scary(-ier) na and I fear for my children’s Philippines, their future. I love God, my children, and my country. In that order. I am, after all, their mother, and my commitment is to take care of them as best I can. I am still hopeful, though. After all, sino ba ang gustong umaalis ng sarili nilang bansa, right? At napakaganda pati ng bansa natin. Sana naman inaalagaan natin, tapos tuwing may pagpalit ng administration, inaalagaan din sana tayo. Nakakapagod na rin minsan... And nakaka-sad... Well, let’s not underestimate the power of prayer!:-)
