Pareho kasi ng ‘topak’ Edu gustong makasama sa pelikula si Luis
‘Pag nagkataon daw at may producer na nakaisip na pagsamahin sila ni Batangas Governor Vilma Santos, his former wife and mother of his eldest son, Luis Manzano tiyak daw na magkakaproblema, ani Edu Manzano. Lalo na sa billing, nakangiting saad ng aktor na himig nagbibiro of course.
He chose not to elaborate, though.
What if, kung sila ni Luis?
‘‘A, minsan, napag-usapan namin ’yan ng anak ko. Pero sabi niya, wala muna siyang balak gumawa ng pelikula. O, series kaya.
‘‘Bagama’t we both agree, ideal kaming magpareha sa isang comedy project. Pareho kaming may sense of humor.
‘‘But as we all know, busy si Luis with his hosting of several shows on ABS-CBN.
‘‘Ako naman, I have Bridges of Love and I’m pretty satisfied doing it, as, except for Jericho (Rosales), with whom I’ve worked na with in the movie Ang Tanging Yaman, lahat ng iba pang major members of the cast, first time kong katrabaho,’’ susog ni Edu.
The stars whom Edu is referring to of course ay sina Maja Salvador, Paulo Avelino at Carmina Villaroel.
Edu revealed na ang kanyang kontrata sa ABS-CBN is not exclusive. Which is his preference, he said, as it will allow him not to accept a project kapag busy siya sa kanyang mga business.
Edu owns at least three plush restaurants, dalawa sa Makati at isa sa Roxas Boulevard.

Naiintindihan naman ni Piolo Pascual ang kanyang anak na si Iñigo (Pascual) when he asked his permission to allow him to do the series, And I Love You So, with Julia Barretto, which Business Unit head, Deo Endrinal, is producing para sa Dreamscape Entertainment Television.
‘‘Of course, naintindihan ko rin na not every newcomer is given the special privilege na magkaroon ng teleserye kung saan bida kaagad pa mandin siya.
‘‘But I warned him too, na once natapos niya ang I Love You So, back to school siya, no matter what.
‘‘I want him to prioritize his studies pa rin. As always, mabuti na ang magkaroon siya ng fallback when the time comes na ‘di pa man niya gusto, he need to bid showbiz goodbye,’’ pahayag pa ni Piolo.
On his part, pretty satisfied si Piolo with how his career is going. ‘Di man siya as busy as he used to, he is getting good projects.
‘Di nga naman mapapasubalian that his last series, Hawak Kamay kasama si Iza Calzado did the ratings.
Currently, he is working on a movie naman na The Break-up Playlist kasama si Sarah Geronimo.
Piolo’s last movie with Toni Gonzaga, Starting Over Again, was a confirmed big box-office hit.
Yesha Camille sayang ang talent, saan na napunta?!
Speaking of Hawak Kamay, how come nga pala na si Yesha Camille, who was featured along with fellow child performers Zaijian Jaranillo at Andrea Brillantes sa series ay tulad ng mga nabanggit niyang kasamahan na suddenly nawalan ng assignment?
Ang gagaling pa naman nila. Kung sabagay, nasa awkward stage na kumbaga, sina Andrea, Zaijan at Xyriel Manabat. They are 13, 12 at 11 respectively.
But in the case of Yesha, she is only six years old. And to quote Piolo: ‘‘She’s so talented. She has a great future in showbiz.’’
