Surprisingly, ‘di lang film students ng UP at mga nanatiling fanatics ni Batangas Gover­nor Vilma Santos-Recto ang nanonood ng tatlong pelikula ng Star For All Seasons, na ipinalabas last Thursday, February 5, sa Cine Adarna, University of the Philippines Film Institute (UPFI), kung hindi mga ordinaryong moviegoers din.

At nagulat sila na ang nasabing tatlong pelikula ni Ate Vi ay parang mga bago pa.

Which is not surprising, though, as all these films were remarkably all digitally restored and re-mastered.

Salamat sa ABS-CBN Archives headed by Leo Katigbak, who have, according to Sir Leo, already restored so far, 72 films mula nang magsimula ito taong 2011.

And would you believe, some of these restored films were already screened sa iba’t ibang international filmfest? Ipinalalabas din ito locally but usually aired on free-to-air and cable television, pay-per-view, and video-on-demand, distributed on DVD at maging sa iTunes.
