Nanay ni Carla may bagong kinaaadikan
Guess what Carla Abellana has in mind this early na ibibigay niyang gifts sa kanyang mommy, former Seiko Films contract star na si Rea Reyes.
Abellana of course is Carla’s Dad’s family name, the still active actor himself, a former Seiko Films talent na si Rey Abellana.
Fully retired na ngayon sa paggawa ng pelikula si Rea, one of two daughters of former LVN Pictures popular actresses, Delia Razon.
Now to what Carla thinks would make an appropriate gift for her mom, who has been, aniya, nalululong sa pagluluto at pagbi-bake, lalo na ng cookies of different designs and cake, she will give her a complete set of kitchen utensils na may mga cute designs. And of course, a mixer, an artisan stand mixer, kung pupuwede.
Carla is one of the few actresses sa category niya who have worked without let-up all throughout the years. She did a series a few months back, bukod sa she played leading lady to Ryan Agoncillo in the sitcom, Ismol Family.
She’s also playing a lead role in Ulam episode of the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry Shake, Rattle and Roll XV.
Where her lovelife is concerned, umiinit lalo ang balitang sila na nga ni Tom Rodriguez.

Speaking of Tom, he is in two films in the MMFF, but he just played daw a short role in one of them.
It is in The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin 2, where he plays a full-length part as kontrabida to Vice Ganda.
“It’s the same role,” ani Tom, “which I played in the first sequel of Praybet…

Mabuti he didn’t have second thoughts doing the kontrabida role, samantalang identified na siya as a bida in several of his series and movies.
“For me naman,” sagot ni Tom, “It’s not an issue, kung ano’ng role ang assigned to me. Basta, I find it challenging, sasabakan ko. Pambida man ito o hindi.”
“I am still new in the game. Kaya wala akong karapatang mamili ng role,” pahayag pa ni Tom.
