Marvin matagal nang hindi nambababae!

YSTAR - Baby E - Pang-masa

Guess who is back as a Kapamilya?

Marvin Agustin, that’s who.

Ten years din pala nang mag-ceased being a contract talent ng ABS-CBN. As we all know, he first joined GMA after umalis sa Dos, kung saan nakagawa siya ng maraming programa, including a series.

When his contract expired bilang Kapuso, he tried his luck sa TV5.

Now that his contract with the Kapatid Network has expired as well, nag-decide siyang mag-reunite with ABS-CBN, nang imbitahan siya ng isang may ‘kapangyarihan’ na bumalik sa kanila.

Anytime soon, Marvin said, baka may sisimulan siyang series sa network.

‘‘Sa totoo lang,’’ aniya, naka-smile. ‘‘Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala na I’m back sa network, which helped me become what I’m now.’’

To think nga naman that he was just working as a waiter at a restaurant located in Morato Street (Quezon City), when the head waiter asked him to deliver some food, sa isang executive ng then noontime program ng ABS-CBN, Magandang Tanghali, Bayan, ordered.

Namataan siya ni Enrico Santos, na isa sa writers of Magandang Gabi, and currently isa sa mga executive of Star Cinema and the head of the film firm’s sister-company, Skylight Films.

Tinanong siya ni Enrico kung marunong siyang sumayaw, as a dance contest was ongoing sa nabanggit na programa.

Since past time daw ni Marvin at ng kanyang mga kapatid ang sumayaw, he agreed na sumali sa dance contest. And presto, no need to tell us that he won.

The rest, kumbaga, is history.

How time flies, sabi ni Marvin, sabay buntong-hininga. Kapag titingnan daw niya ang kanyang kambal, sina Sebastian at Santiago, tantiya niya ay tumatanda na siya.

Nine years old na ang mga bata at parehong nag-aaral sa Dela Salle University.

They are both fond of the same sport — volleyball.

Mom of the twins is, of course, Tetet Dy of the popular and influential clan, the Dys of the Isabela.

Although, they are not married, maganda raw ang samahan nila ni Tetet. Which obviously reflect on their twins.

The two are well-behaved, matatalino and most of all, magagalang.

How come wala yatang nali-link na ibang babae sa kanya?

‘‘If ever mayroon man,’’ katuwiran ni Marvin. ‘‘Do you think idi-discuss ko ito sa media?

‘‘I want to be proper in most everything na concerned ang private life ko.’’

Aside from having turned Kapamilya anew, what makes Marvin ‘‘news,’’ so to speak, is his being part of much-talk about comedy movie, Moron 5.2, The Transformation, as sequel ng first Moron 5, And the Crying Lady.

The film, again directed by Wenn Deramas and produced by Viva Films, co-stars Marvin with Luis Manzano, Billy Crawford, DJ Durano, John Lapuz at Matteo Guidicelli, who replaced Martin Escudero, who was part of the original movie.

It will open October 29 in theaters nationwide.
