Angel mag-isang tumanggap ng award, mga ‘sister’ absent lahat

Bea Alonzo, Toni Gonzaga, and Shaina Magdayao were all no show sa katatapos na 16th PASADO Gawad Sining Sine (Gabi ng Parangal) held at the Far Eastern University (FEU) Auditorium where, together with Angel Locsin, they would have been presented their individual trophy as winners of the Pinakapasadong Katuwang na Aktres for their respective performances in the Star Cinema movie Four Sisters and a Wedding.

In fairness to Angel, who really made time to excuse herself from her taping for The Legal Wife so she could attend the awards ceremony, she thanked the PASADO panel on her “sisters’” behalf as well.

All four of them, Bea, Toni, Shaina, and herself, played sisters in Four Sisters and a Wedding.

For the award, Pinakapasadong Katuwang na Aktor, both Jake Cuenca (for his movie, When the Love is Gone) and Gerald Anderson (On the Job) came. Although late dumating si Gerald at tinawag na lang sa stage para tanggapin ang kanyang trophy.

All the other winners such as Joel Torre (On the Job), Pinakapasadong Aktor; Bangs Garcia (Laureana), Pinakapasadong Aktres; at Erik Matti (On the Job), Pinakapasadong Direktor, were all not present para tanggapin ang kani-kanilang tropeo.

Dito with Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada, recipient of Pasado Lifetime Achievement Award.

Well, to all of them, congratulations!

Meg natanggal ang kainosentehan sa seksing serye

Guess what Meg Imperial’s next career plan is, ngayong kabi-kabila ang natatanggap niyang pagbati dahil sa ’di lang nagti-trending kung hindi confirmed high rater din ang series niyang Moon of Desire?

It cannot be denied na nakasentro sa kanya ang kuwento ng Moon of Desire. Although equally as important din ang bawat role ng kanyang co-stars na sina JC de Vera, Dominic Roque, at Ellen Adarna, pati na rin ang baguhang si Miko Rava?

Well, ang next plano ni Meg is to turn a recording star. After all nga naman, as a talent ng Viva Artists Center, puwede niyang i-propose kay Veronique del Rosario-Corpuz na hilingin naman sa Viva Records na bigyan siya ng pagkakataong magkaroon ng sariling album.

Feel daw kasi ni Meg, bukod sa pag-arte, ay may magandang boses din siya. As she says: “If others can do it, why can’t I?”

Oo nga naman.

In Moon of Desire, Meg revealed may mga eksenang pumayag siyang gawin na, at first, she was not keen na gawin. But as her Moon of Desire director, FM Reyes told him, the fate of the series, for it na magkaroon ng chance to be a top rater, more than anybody else in the cast, depend on her.

So how far would she say, halimbawa as a seductress, did she go for her to do justice to her role?

“I’d say I lost my innocence doing the series, without submitting to the ‘real thing.’ Pakiwari ko ba, dahil sa Moon of Desire, I now know everything about sa sinasabing birds and the bees,” she stated seriously.

“And every time, would you believe, na sinasabi ko ang bagay na ito kay Direk FM, tinitiyak daw niyang in the end this will help me career wise? I hope so, too.”
