Good to hear, Salve A., that Manay Ichu Maceda is up and about na. In fact, she’s now inviting people close to her to visit in her hospital room.

She misses them daw, lalo na ang kanyang mga ‘‘dabarkads,’’ who’ll surely miss her, too, at the birthday celebration of her Shirley Kuan, Veanna Fores, Girlie Rodis, and Anes (daughter of Dolor) on Saturday.

Manay Ichu, as fellow PM columnist Lolit Solis in her column Startalk wrote, suffered a heart attack and had to submit to angioplasty.

She’s currently undergoing treatment for her kidney naman.

Well, Manay Ichu’s friends are all praying she will totally recover soon.

Another good friend who needs prayers, too, is Donnie Ramirez, who also writes about the mo­vies, though only occasionally, but more about the people of high society.

Donnie, according to Ricky Lo, suffered a fall and sustained blood clots in the brain.

Ricky said though, that his informer would not confirm reports if Donnie fell into a coma before or after brain surgery.

Did we hear it right that Dr. Elenita Binay, former Makati Mayor and the better half of Vice President Jojo Binay, is one among his friends who closely keep watch over Donnie?

Alex magso-solo sa The Voice

If reports going around have it that Alex Gonzaga will no longer play minor co-host with Robi Domingo to her elder and only sister Toni Gonzaga at the The Voice of the Philippines season two, it is because she will reportedly co-host with Luis Manzano the kid’s version, The Voice of the Philippines Kids.

Soon to become as busy as Toni, Alex will start taping na rin for Our Love, which, according to Mark Gil, one of the ‘‘powers’’ behind the production, will also star Yen Santos, Joseph Marco, Arjo Atayde, and Yam Concepcion.

Toni is a mainstay as well of the gag shows Banana Nite and Banana Split Extra Scoop.
