Miles parehong type sina John Lloyd at Marco

No wonder na marami nga ang nakapupunang gumagawa ngayon ang 16 year old na si Miles Ocampo, formerly a mainstay of the gag show for the young viewers, Goin’ Bulilit.

At the presscon of Luv U, her show, as a teenager, where she has for a leading man, Marco Guma­bao, son of former fashion plate, Lolly Imperial and former actor-politician and now a Pastor, Dennis Roldan (real name Mitchell Gumabao), she didn’t mince word when she admitted may crush siya kay Marco.

‘‘Please take note, crush lang,’’ ani­ya.

‘‘Paano kung ligawan siya ni Marco?” Again, she was asked.

She beamed but refused to answer.

Kaya, nabaling ang tanong kay Marco. Kung may balak ba itong ligawan si Miles.

Marco, 17 replied: ‘‘Siguro, meron naman.’’

But to fall in love appears to be the least of Miles problem at the moment. Bukod nga kasi sa Luv U, she is a mainstay of the sitcom, Home Sweetie Home, starring her Kuya John Lloyd Cruz, her crush, too, and Ate Toni (Gonzaga).

At nag-aaral din siya. Promise raw niya sa kanyang mga parents, na magtatapos siya ng pag-aaral ng college. And determined siya to fulfill her promise to them.

‘‘Understanding kasi sila when I told them kung bakit gusto kong mag-artista,’’ pahayag ni Miles.

Nash nakalampas na sa awkward age

A cute love team, also featured in Luv U, are Nash Aguas and Alexis Ilacad. Both are ‘‘graduates’’, too of Goin’ Bulilit.

A product of a reality show, where, at age six, he emerged champ in a search for aspiring child actor, he has never left showbiz, henceforth. Except when after nag-graduate siya sa Goin’ Bulilit, he was asked to ‘‘rest’’ a while, bago siya mag-resume ng kanyang showbiz career.

Nang ‘‘mamahinga’’, siya to get over his ‘‘awkward’’ age, Nash together with his mom and younger small brother, was able to stay with his dad, who works in the U.S. for at least, a year.

Now he is back. Both in his showbiz career and in school. Like Alexis, Nash said, he, too, promised his parents magtatapos siya ng college, no matter what.

Alexis belongs to the popular Ilacad family in the world of music. Orly Ilacad, owner of OctoArts Records and Films, is his uncle.

Isang music composer naman ang kanyang ama, whose name ay hindi namin maalala habang sinusulat ito.

Pretty and sweet, swak ang tandem nila ni Nash, who, at age 13, is slowly creating na a macho image.

Bangs mas abala sa pagpipinta

Of Luv U, kaya pala no longer active si Bangs Garcia sa series, where she plays ka-tandem ni Smokey Manaloto, who plays a principal of the school at si Bangs naman ay teacher, ay dahil she’s now into painting.

Well, Bangs is inviting friends and other art enthusiasts to come and visit her painting exhibit star­ting on February 12 at LRI Plaza, Ricco Lorenzo Gallery, 210 N. Garcia (formerly Reposo), Bel Air Makati.

Sa February 12 ang painting exhibit opening, cocktails starts at 6:30 p.m.
