Arjo ‘di maligawan si Alex!
Obvious na nabigla si Sylvia Sanchez when we asked her sa lunch na inihanda niya for a few members of the press kung pabor ba siyang maging manugang si Alex Gonzaga.
But anytime soon, the two will work together sa isang series for ABS-CBN, where they are both under contract to, in the Tagalog adaptation of the Mexican TV series Pure Love.
Sayang nga at wala si Arjo sa nabanggit na gathering. We could have asked him the question sa kanya mismo.
But that particular day, ayon kay Sylvia, Arjo was in Iloilo for the festival ongoing there that day.
Well, in a talk we had with Alex, hindi raw niya alam na may gusto sa kanya si Arjo.
O, ayan Arjo, what are you waiting for?
From the way it looks, happy ang marriage ni Sylvia with businessman Art Atayde. Lalong happy siya as a mom to the other three kids —Ria, 21 years old, who will be graduating from college in the De La Salle University this year, Gela, 11 (studying at Poveda but is eager to follow her footsteps as an actress), and Xavi, four years old lang.
Arjo, she said, is 23. From a past relationship, may anak siya, si Pia, who is 24 and an HRM (hotel and restaurant management) graduate and currently working na.
Where her career is concerned, Sylvia plays mom to Jodi Sta. Maria in the top-rating series ng ABS-CBN, Be Careful With My Heart.
A good cook (she prepared what she served us), Sylvia used to own a restaurant located near ABS-CBN.
But as she said, mahirap ang magkaroon ng negosyo unless matutukan mo ito mismo.
Christopher hindi nagpupunta ng presscon
Bagama’t he’s playing important role in the ABS-CBN series, The Legal Wife which has Angel Locsin playing the title role, Christopher de Leon was a no-show at its presscon.
Which surprised even his talent manager Lolit Solis kasi earlier yata, in a talk she had with him, balak daw talaga ni Boyet (pet name) na mag-attend.
Kung sabagay, during the presscon for Sa Ngalan ng Ama, Ina, at Mga Anak, ’di rin present si Boyet who is also in the movie.
Which is understandable kasi only members of the Padilla clan, headed, of course, by Robin Padilla, were present at the event. The film, directed by Jon Villarin, focuses on them.
For the first time, Sa Ngalan ng Ama… stars together Robin and his popular teenage nephew DaÂniel Padilla.
Daniel is the son of Robin’s elder brother Rommel, sa dating karelasyon na former Regal Baby, si Karla Estrada. Two other sons who are both good looking as well, na anak naman ni Rommel sa isang Fil-German, sina Matt and RJ, are also in the moÂvie. May role rin si Rommel sa pelikula.
Robin’s real wife Mariel Rodriguez portrays the wife role in the film. Starring, too, are Robin’s daughter Kylie and his niece Bela Padilla.
Sa Ngalan ng Ama… is set to open today, Jan. 29, in theaters nationwide.
Robin himself produced Sa Ngalan ng Ama… for his film firm RCP Films with Star Cinema.
