Ariella kinabiliban ng photographer,, napiling Ice Princess sa glam shoot ng Miss U!
Patuloy na gumagawa ng ingay ang ating Miss Philippines Ariella “Ara†Arida sa Russia para sa korona ng Miss Universe 2013 sa Nov. 9. Sa naganap na glam shoot sa Moscow noong nakaraang Biyernes, nag-top ang ating kandidata among the 86 candidates sa photo shoot na may winter theme. Tinanghal siyang Ice Princess sa 15 candidates na napili.
Ayon sa naging photographer nilang si Fadil Berisha:
“Arida transformed from her exotic sultry look into a high-class fashion model. From her frizzy mane to her pout and down to her skin tone, Ara Arida is a force to be reckoned with as she can transform from different looks as long as she wishes. She’s now a major favorite for the crown and if she continues to wow the judges she could be the next to wear the Nexus crown.â€
Ang mga naging runners-up ni Ariella sa kanyang pagiging Ice Princess ay sina Miss Spain (1st); Miss Great Britain (2nd), Miss South Africa (3rd), at Miss Australia (4th).
Napili rin si Ara para maging bida sa isang commercial ng Miss Universe na sponsored ng Mercedes Benz. Ang lima pa ay sina Miss Poland, Miss Austria, Miss Germany, Miss Mexico, at Miss Russia.
Kailan lang ay si Ariella rin ang napili ng International Business Times sa Australia bilang candidate na aabangan dahil siya raw ang puwedeng manalong Miss Universe.
Gaganapin ang preliminary competition for swimwear and evening gown sa Nov. 5. May live streaming sa Miss Universe website mula sa Crocus City Hall sa Moscow.
Alma Concepcion ipinagtanggol ang may sense na pagsasalita ni Ariella, Mo tinawag na mababaw
Ipinagtanggol ng former Bb. Pilipinas-International na si Alma Concepcion ang ating Miss Philippines sa Miss Universe tilt na si Ariella Arida laban sa mga sinabi ni Mo Twister dito.
Napanood kasi ni Alma ang interview ni Ariella sa programang Headstart at wala naman daw nakaka-offend sa sinabi ng kandidata.
“I was able to watch the video and Ara’s English construction is actually understandable. She was very humble enough to admit that she is indeed doing her best. It’s impressive to see her efforts and she’s actually successful in putting her message across,†saad ni Alma.
“I believe that intelligence isn’t measured by the kind of language a person uses. There are intelligent deaf/mutes around. It’s the content of what you say that will matter and, for me, the content of Mo’s statement is shallow compared to the essence of the statements Ara made.â€
Nakita rin ni Alma na may “winning look†si Ariella na makaka-attract ng pansin kahit kanino sa Miss Universe pageant.
“She is tall, tan, thin, big eyes, large forehead, big smiles. These are the common traits of Shamcey Supsup, Miriam Quiambao, Megan Young, Venus Raj, and the others. We finally got the look that clicks internationally.
“The pressure is indeed on Ara since we have been doing well over the last few years especially now that Megan Young just won. I’m sure she could feel the people’s high expectations on her.
“Every candidate has a chance of winning. It all depends on the preparation and training of a candidate.
“Over-preparation is always better than otherwise. It depends on Ara’s pre-pageant performance, in particular. She has to stand-out from the pre-pageant until the end,†pahayag ng beauty queen na aktres din.
