Kathryn at Daniel hanggang holding hands lang

YSTAR - Baby E - Pang-masa

Teenage twosomes Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla obviously know their ‘‘limits,’’ even if they now claim that they are getting closer more than ever.

Hanggang holding hands lang sila, said someone close to both.

Obvious na nakadagdag nga pala sa pagtaas ng ratings ng programa ng dalawa, ang Got to Believe, ang pag-join ng De La Salle’s Most Valuable Player (MVP) this year, si Jeron Teng.

Dalawang anak ni Tirso nag-alsa balutan pa-Kapamilya

Tirso Cruz III’s children Bodie and Djanin, like Nadia Montenegro’s daughter, Ynna Asistio, is now a Kapamilya.

We bumped into Djanin sa corridor ng ABS-CBN and she told us na kasalukuyan siyang nag-a-undergo ng workshop, sponsored by Star Magic, the discovery and talent arm ng ABS-CBN at Star Cinema.

Bodie, on the other hand, is in the cast of the top-rating afternoon series Galema: Anak ni Zuma.

Wonder if Bodie has no intention to change his name into something suitable, kumbaga, his age. Suggestion: Tirso Cruz IV. Para mag-sound like a screen name.

Si Pip (Tirso’s pet name) is currently a guest judge ng bagong contest ng It’s Showtime.

Bodie, Djanin, and Ynna were former talents ng GMA 7.

John na-impress sa tinanggap na indie film

John Prats has a good reason for sporting a countenance these days. After all, his dream to play a lead role in a movie, since his days as a child actor, ay na-realize finally sa entry ni Direk Mes de Guzman in Cinema One Originals Festival, the psychological thriller, Sitio.

Never mind if Sitio is an indie film, as John said ay dream niya rin ang makagawa ng indie movie.

‘‘Magaganda ang naririnig ko tungkol sa mga indie film. Sa kanila ang featured films na kakaiba, bago ang approach, bagong genre.

‘‘I want to be part of this bagong evolution sa industriya ng pelikulang Pilipino,’’ dagdag ni John.

Nakakailang offers na rin daw siya to do indie films. Pero palagi raw ang hinihinging schedule ng shooting (the most ay one week) ay hindi mag-swak sa kanyang availability.

When Sitio was offered to him, it was, at a time, when he wanted to be busier.

‘‘Sabihin na rin nating na-impress ako sa theme ng istorya ng pelikula,’’ sabi ni John.

Sitio tells the tale of an upper class siblings who find meaning to a simpler life when they decided to move from the city, where they all grew up, to the province.

Ang experience na kanilang naranasan ay ’di nila inasahan. O inaasahan kaya. It was both terror and threat common sa buhay in the rural areas.

Sitio co-stars John with Ria Garcia, Anja Aguilar, Arnold Reyes, Biboy Ramirez, RK Bagatsing, at Jess Mendoza.

Sitio was one of five films, which comprise the five Cinema One Plus category, in this year’s (ninth) Cinema One Originals Festival, earmarked for release on Nov. 11 to 19, sa Trinoma (Quezon City), Glorietta (Makati City), at Robinsons Galleria (Pasig City).

These five films, all with budget na halagang P2M, also include Kabisera, directed by Borgy Torre and starring Joel Torre, Art Acuña, Bing Pimentel, Bernard Palanca, Ketchup Eusebio, and Meryll Soriano; Blue Bustamante, directed by Miko Livelo and starring Joem Bascon, Jun Sabayton, Dimples Romana, and Jis Deocareza; at Alamat ni China Doll, directed by Adolfo Alix, Jr. and starring Angelica Panganiban, Cherry Pie Picache, Cesar Montano, Phillip Salvador, Anita Linda, Allan Paule, and Evelyn Vargas.

Ang Woman of the Ruins, directed by Keith Sicat, stars naman Alessandra de Rossi, Art Acuña, Chanel Latorre, Elizabeth Oropesa, Peque Gallaga, Moises Mag-isa, Joe Gruta, at Rolando Inocencio.

The 10 other films, dubbed as the Cinema One Originals Current at may budget na P1M, ay dapat din daw abangan.
