Angel hindi igi-give up sina Jericho at Vhong kahit kumpirmado na Darna na pelikula

Kumpirmado na mismo ni Malou Santos, ma­na­ging director ng Star Cinema, na kay Angel Loc­sin nila ipagkakatiwala ang kanilang movie version ng pinakamimit­hing role ng mga kababaihang artista, ang Darna.

Well, ’pag finally nagka-totoo ito, ma­kakapagmalaki si Angel na siya lamang ang tanging aktres na gumanap bilang Darna sa TV at pelikula.

Kung sabagay, marami ang nagsabing unpre­cedented nga ang ratings na na-earn ng TV series na Darna sa GMA 7 na ang gu­manap ay si Angel. Ang sumunod na ver­sion nito, na ibang aktres ang gumanap, hardly can compare sa ratings na nakopo ni Angel kumbaga.

No wonder na ang balitang si Angel nga ang gaganap na Darna sa bagong version nito sa pelikula ay current talk of the town. Bukod sa phenomenal trending na nilikha ng balita sa social media.

Sayang at hindi immediate ang gagawing pagsasapelikula ng Darna, bagama’t ang kaukulang preparasyon ay ginawa na ng production.

Kung sabagay, must din na tapusin muna ni Angel ang mga natanguan niyang commitment. Unang-una na nga ang series na Hanggang Kailan Kita Mamahalin na pagsasamahan nila for the first time nina Jericho Rosales, Christopher de Leon, Rio Locsin, Mark Gil, Maja Salvador, at JC de Vera.

Then there’s the horror-suspense flick na wala pang tiyak na titulo pero pagtatambalan nila ni Vhong Navarro.

At the helm of this movie is Joyce Bernal.

Her soon to be super busy schedule, notwithstan­d­ing, wala raw balak si Angel to give up her comedy romance series Toda Max which pairs her with Vhong.

Now airing for two years, Toda Max is directed by Malu Sevilla.

Rica pinagbibigyan pa rin ang showbiz

Rica Peralejo can no longer hide her five-month bump when she appeared in the noontime show It’s Showtime during the 60th anniversary celebration ng ABS-CBN na ginanap sa Quezon City Memorial Circle.

Marami ang humuhulang babae ang magiging panganay nila ng kanyang pastor husband, Joseph Bonifacio, kasi she didn’t only look pretty but appeared in fine form as well.

Obvious na kahit paminsan-minsan ay pagbibigyan ni Rica ang request to appear as guest in some Kapamilya shows, wala na siyang balak maging aktibo sa showbiz.

A graduate of bachelor of arts in literature at the Ateneo de Manila University, Rica writes regularly for a broadsheet.

‘‘I’m free to write about anything in my column,’’ ani Rica. ‘‘Pero siyempre I want to write about topics which will interest most readers.’’

John Lapus hindi nababakante

It is his comic timing that, even John Lapus admits, keeps him busy as a comedian.

No wonder that, to date, even with the proliferation of new and aspiring comedians, never has he found himself without a TV or film assignment.

Tulad ngayon, all set na siya to do the comedy horror-suspense flick, co-starring him with Vhong Navarro and Angel Locsin in a Star Cinema production.

A hotel and restaurant management graduate from the University of Sto. Tomas, John never thought he would end up in showbiz. Although several of his relatives, especially his Daddy Jojo Lapus, was a scriptwriter in his time.

John, so far, has been in showbiz for 20 years.
