Rufa Mae kinarir ang workshop, ibang-iba na rin sa pagiging boba
Obvious ngang isang bagong Rufa Mae Quinto ang ating mapapanood sa Ang Huling Henya.
Popularly known for her booba (boba na boobsy) roles in her movies, Rufa Mae, who has remained as sexy, plays naman na isang brainy, kickass agent sa Ang Huling Henya, produced by Viva Films and directed naman ni Marlon Rivera of Ang Babae sa Septic Tank fame.
‘‘Kailangan ko namang maipakita na may talino ako. Nag-stick kasi sa manonood ang pagiging booba ko.
‘‘Kaya for a change sa Ang Huling Henya medyo serious ako. Medyo lang ha?
‘‘Bagama’t comedy pa rin ang pelikula as a whole na siya namang tatak na alam ng manonood sa akin,’’ susog pa ni Rufa Mae.
To prove how serious she is in her desire na ‘‘mapaiba‘’ ang kanyang image, kahit sa Ang Huling Henya man lang, sinunod daw ni Rufa Mae ang suggestion ni Direk Marlon na before they started shooting for the movie ay nag-workshop siya at no less than the Philippine Educational Theater Association (PETA). Likewise, for her action scenes, Rufa Mae said she underwent rigorous training for her physically demanding action scenes.
‘‘Truth to tell ako mismo ay nagulat sa transformation ko when I watched the rushes of the movie,†sabi ni Rufa Mae. ‘‘Tiyak maraming maninibago sa akin. For a good reason.â€
Co-starring with Rufa Mae in the movie are Brazilian Fabio Ide, Kean CiÂpriano, Candy Pangilinan, Ayen Laurel, DJ Durano, Edgar Allan Guzman, Ricci Chan, at Robert Seña, yes the theater actor and singer.
The film opens in theaters nationwide on Aug. 21.
KC at Sam bibigyan agad ng trabaho
Judy Ann Santos will not be totally out of work when her current series Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala, co-starring her with Sam Milby, Mylene Dizon, John Estrada, Tirso Cruz III, Coney Reyes, and KC Concepcion, ends next week.
After two weeks ng kanyang ‘‘pamamahinga†when her series ends, may naghihintay kaagad sa kanyang trabaho, isang reality series naman also for ABS-CBN where she will serve bilang host.
In the case of Tirso, we all know na may gagawin siyang TV series with Nora Aunor sa TV5.
Sina Sam at John naman ay may pelikula both na gagawin with Viva Films.
The decision daw to abruptly end her series, Huwag Kang Lang…, was mutually agreed by Juday and ABS-CBN. Dahil nga kasi siguro ‘‘isisingit’’ sa earlier timeslot ang bagong series nina Kathryn Bernardo at Daniel Padilla, Got to Believe, reportedly after the airing of Juan dela Cruz starring Coco Martin.
With such move, natural na mamu-move to a later timeslot ang Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala, obviously sa timeslot na iiwanan ng napakaganda at nakakaengganyo ring panooring Korean telenovela, ang That Winter, the Wind Blows.
Kung sabagay, ang abruptly na pag-end ng Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala will not at all affect the flow ng istorya. And Judy Ann said, rather than prolong the series nga naman at lumaylay ito kung saan, well, mas mabuti na ngang tapusin na ito.
