Piolo Pascual and Gerald Anderson both go daring for the first time in their first action movie together On the Job (OTJ) co-produced by Star Cinema and Reality Entertainment.

Ayaw nga lang banggitin ng dalawa, kung sino between them ang nag-overboard in their daring scenes, si Piolo with Shaina Magdayao who plays his wife o si Gerald with newcomer Dawn Jimenez, his waitress-girlfriend?

Empress is Gerald’s other leading lady in OTJ.

In any case, Piolo said that in their intimate scenes he had to ‘‘cover’’ Shaina dahil ’di pa nga raw ito sanay sa mga eksenang delikado, her daring scene in OTJ being her first, kaya wala pang malay kung paano protektahan ang sarili.

First time na magkasama sina Piolo at Shaina sa isang project.

He had them in mind for two of the lead roles.

Last year nang sinimulan nila ang shooting for the movie.

All of them take to their respective roles sa OJT as challenging.

‘‘Mantakin mo, binaybay namin kunwari from the Manila City Hall to kung saan.

“Well, feel good naman ako dahil mala-Hollywood ang pagkakagawa talaga ng movie,” sabi ni Gerald.

Ayon kay Piolo naman, narinig niya from some production people, na gumastos ang pelikula ng, more or less, P50M.

Na obviously is worth it because the film, according naman to Direk Erik, will be shown in some cities in the US. And, for a good price.

OTJ was also praised by critics when it premiered at the Cannes International Film Festival in France last May.

At the 17th Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival (South Korea), Joel, as everyone knows by now, won the best actor trophy for his role sa pelikula.

OTJ is part of the 20th anniversary offering ng Star Cinema. It is scheduled to open in local theaters nationwide on Aug. 28, almost at the same time na ipalalabas din ito sa ibang bansa.

From Direk Erik, we heard, that the same copy ng OTJ na ipalalabas sa ibang bansa ang mapapanood ng local moviegoers dito sa atin.
