Susan naka-kompromiso sa trabaho, Sen. Grace ’di nasamahan sa kauna-unahang SONA

Guess where Susan Roces was when President Noynoy Aquino had his SONA (State of the Nation Address) na halos lahat ng government officials, elected man o otherwise, were present?

Well, Susan, we learned, was taping outside of Metro Manila for her current series Muling Buksan ang Puso.

Just the same, we wonder if Susan would have joined her newly elected senator daughter, Grace Poe-Llamanzares, in her very first official attendance of the SONA. Tiyak, agaw-pansin siya.

Ganun man, Grace, on her own, was an attraction herself because she looked very regal in her white gown by Rajo Laurel, a friend for the last 15 years.

Rajo, Sen. Grace added, used to do all her late father’s (Fernando Poe, Jr.) Barong Tagalog.

Wonder if Rajo, too, prepared for both Sen. Grace’s husband Neil, and son Brian, the Barong Tagalog they wore for the occasion. They themselves proved eye catchers kumbaga.

Equally regal in his Barong was Alfred Vargas, newly elected congressman ng District 5, Quezon City. The Barong he wore was by couturier-designer Paul Cabral who also prepared P-Noy’s Barong at the SONA.

Ang ganda pala ng asawa ni Alfred na si Yasmine who was seen publicly for the first time sa SONA.

Heart at Sen. Chiz parang ikakasal sa suot

Mukhang ikakasal sina Sen. Chiz Escudero at Heart Evangelista when they arrived hand-in-hand sa same event. Pareho silang naka-white attire. Si senador in Barong at si Heart in a terno.

This early ay obvious na Heart already knows where to place herself in an official function like the SONA. Sumusunod lang siya kay Sen. Chiz who needs to really be the bida on the occasion like this one.

As expected, Ormoc Congresswoman Lucy Torres-Gomez came minus her husband Richard Gomez who was with daughter Juliana in London, England along with several Kapamilya stars for the TFC (The Filipino Channel) event.

Rep. Lucy arrived with her dad.

While most of the congressmen’s wives wore bright colored attires ba’t kaya, Salve A., pinili ni Assunta de Rossi na magsuot ng kulay na akala mo ay okasyong malungkot ang kanyang pupuntahan?

O, posible kayang ’di siya nag-prepare for the occasion? Several days back kasi, in an interview, nabanggit niya na baka ’di siya dumalo sa SONA dahil ’di naman siya sinasabihan ng asawang si Negros Occidental Representative Jules Ledesma na kailangan niyang samahan ito.

In fact, binanggit niya rin na may iba siyang appointment.

Ganun man, Assunta, in a side interview with a TV reporter announced that her husband has distri­buted part of their wealth to their wor­kers in the hacienda which the Ledesma clan owns.

Lately, Assunta has not been rather active sa kanyang showbiz career.

Karel in love sa bar-gym owner

Open na pala si Karel Marquez sa state ng kanyang marriage with a non-showbiz. Right now ’di niya inililihim na isang bar and gym owner named Sean Carlo Fariñas ang kasalukuyan niyang mahal.

What makes her love the guy more, Karel said, is that the guy, a bachelor, takes to her kids as if they are his own.

The daughter of singer and stage performer Pinky Marquez, Karel has chosen not to follow her mom’s footsteps. Instead she is into TV and movie acting full time.

Currently, kasama siya sa cast ng My Husband’s Lover co-starring her with Carla Abellana, Tom Rodriguez, and Dennis Trillo.
