Dingdong Best Actor uli sa MMFF, Nora Aunor nakaka-walong trophy na!

Eight Best Actress trophy na from the Metro Manila Film Festival ang napanalunan ng Superstar na si Nora Aunor sa Thy Womb. At second consecutive year naman ni Dingdong Dantes na nanalo ng Best Actor award dahil last year siya rin ang nanalo sa movie nila ni Kris Aquino, ang Segunda Mano.

Masaya at mabilis ang 38th MMFF awards night last December 27 na ginanap sa SRO Meralco Theater, produced by Viva Entertainment, sa direksyon ni Al Quinn. Maraming nahuli dahil at exactly 7:00 pm, nagsimula ang presentation, hosted by Kris Aquino and KC Concepcion. Pinag-usapan ang green long gown ni Kris na siya na yatang pinaka-sexy sa mga naisuot niya dahil sa cleavage na umabot hanggang sa waistline niya. Natawa nga kami sa isa sa mga executives ng MMFF kung may paste daw ba ang top ng gown ni Kris kaya hindi ito nawawala sa place at ma-expose ang breast ng Queen of All Media. 

Ang ganda-ganda rin ni KC in a new shoulder-length hair.  Pinag-usapan din ang pagkikita on-stage nina former  president Joseph Estrada at Ms. Nora Aunor na tinanghal na Male and Female Star of the Night.

Nang manalo ang Thy Womb ng Gatpuno Antonio Villegas Cultural Award, sabi ni direk Brillante Mendoza: “showing pa po kami, sana makatulong ang awards namin para hindi kami ma-pull-out.”

Matapos tanggapin ni Ms. Nora Aunor ang trophy niya, sabi niya: “kahit kokonti ho ang nanood ng pelikula ko, ako na lamang ang magpu-produce para walang nalulugi.  Pero patuloy akong gagawa ng mga quality films.”

Nakahabol naman si Dingdong na nagmula pa sa taping ng Pahiram ng Sandali sa Tagaytay City at hindi pumayag si Kris na hindi siya magbigay ng thank you speech dahil last year daw ay hindi natanggap ni Dingdong  ng personal ang trophy nito. Nagpasalamat si Dingdong sa Star Cinema at sa GMA Network dahil pinayagan siyang gumawa ng movie sa ibang production. 

First time nagbigay ang MMFF ng Fernando Poe Jr. Memorial Award na ang criteria ng mananalong movie ay may relevance to culture, history at Filipino experiences, kaya maraming naniwala na either El Presidente o Thy Womb ang mananalo, pero ang nanalo ay ang One More Try ng Star Cinema.
