29 Chinese vessels dumaan sa West Philippine Sea - PN

MANILA, Philippines — Inihayag kahapon ng Philippine Navy (PNP) na naispatan nila ang pagdaan ng 29 barko ng China sa paligid ng iba’t ibang lugar sa West Philippine Sea (WPS) noong Oktubre.

Sinabi ng Navy na binabantayan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) ang 15 Chinese Coast Guard vessels at 14 People’s Liberation Army Navy vessels na dumadaan sa paligid ng Bajo de Masinloc, Sabina Shoal, Julian Felipe Reef, at Iroquois Reef.

Sinabi naman ng tagapagsalita ng Philippine Navy para sa WPS Rear Admiral Roy Vincent Trinidad na hindi nakatigil ang mga sasak­yang pandagat.

“Rest assured that your AFP remains vigilant, ready to address potential maritime challenges, and resolute in its mission to uphold maritime security and the rights of the Filipino people not only in the West Philippine Sea but the entire Philippines,” ani Trinidad.

Sinabi rin ng Navy na may kabuuang 13,874 na sasakyang pandagat ang na-monitor na dumaraan sa buong kapuluan ng bansa mula Oktubre 1 hanggang Oktubre 31 at sa mga sasakyang pandagat, 11,097 ay dayuhan at 2,777 ay domestic.
