Taas-singil sa MIAA inapela ng major stakeholders
MANILA, Philippines — Umapela ang mga major stakeholder sa airline industry laban sa pagtaas ng singil ng Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) sa paggamit ng kanilang serbisyo, pasilidad at equipment.
Ito ang apela na ipinaabot ng Air Carriers Association of the Philippines, Board of Airline Representatives, Airline Operators Council at International Airport Association kay MIAA General Manager Eric Jose Ines.
Partikular na inapela ng grupo ang panukalang revision sa MIA Revised Administrative Order No.1, Series of 2000 na nagtatakda ng taas-singil ng MIAA para sa paggamit ng kanilang pasilidad tulad ng passenger processing fee, loading at takeoff fees at maging sa biometric processing fee.
Ayon pa sa stakeholders na dahil sa privatization naging parusa sa mga biyahero ang pagtaas ng singil sa MIAA na mas mataas pa sa mga dekalidad na paliparan sa Asia, tulad sa Changi at Japan airports.
Ikinalulungkot ng grupo ang pagpasya ng transaction advisor na panatilihing confidential ang iba pang importanteng impormasyon sa tinutukoy na rate adjustment.
Kaya’t umaasa ang stakeholders na ikonsidera ni GM Ines na magkaroon ng mas malalim na konsultasyon sa nasabing usapin alang-alang sa pagtaguyod ng transparency at accountability.
