MANILA, Philippines — Ipinagmalaki ni House Speaker Martin Romualdez sa kanyang pagdalo sa “Learning from ASEAN” session sa World Economic Forum Annual Meeting na ang Pilipinas ang “best destination” ng mga foreign investors.

Ayon kay Romualdez, ang pagiging bukas ng ekonomiya at repormang ipinatutupad ay ilan lamang sa mga dahilan kung bakit ang Pilipinas ang pinakamagandang lugar para sa foreign investments.                              

Maliban aniya dito, malaking bagay rin ang magandang pagsasama ng mga miyembro ng Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) upang matugunan ang mga hamon na kapwa nila kinakaharap.

“And that’s why it’s not such a big surprise that after the COVID pandemic we the ASEAN emerged as the bright spot in the global economy of course I’d like to put the Philippines up front,” ani Romualdez.

Inaasahang mananatili ang ASEAN bilang rehiyon na may pinakamabilis na pag-unlad ang ekonomiya sa mundo at magsisilbing malaking bahagi ng pag-angat ng Asia-Pacific sa susunod na dekada.

Malaking tulong din aniya ng rehiyon ang batang working population na may median age na 25 years old at mala­king English-speaking population.
