MANILA, Philippines — Idineklara ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ang Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) bilang non-working day sa Pilipinas na magaganap sa Oktubre 30 upang makaboto ang Pinoy.

“It is imperative that the people be given the full opportunity to participate in the said elections and exercise their right of suffrage,” ang inihayag ni Pangulong Marcos sa ilalim ng Proclamation No. 359, nilagdaan ni Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin, araw ng Lunes, Oktubre 9.

Binigyan naman ng Korte Suprema ng go signal ang Commission on Elections (Comelec) na ituloy ang pagsasagawa ng Barangay at SK polls na nakatakda sa Oktubre 30, 2023, gaya ng naunang nakasaad sa ilalim ng Republic Act No. 11935.
