MANILA, Philippines — Matinding hinagupit ng bagyong Paeng ang Metro Manila at maraming bahagi ng bansa na dumanas ng matitinding pagbaha at landslide.

Ayon sa PAGASA, limang beses nag-landfall kahapon ang bagyong Paeng. Una ay ganap na ala-1:10 ng madaling araw sa Virac, Catanduanes; ikalawa ay ala-1:40 ng madaling araw sa Caramoan, Camarines Sur; ikatlo, dakong alas -8:40 ng umaga sa Sta Cruz, Marinduque; ika-apat sa Sariaya, Quezon at ika-lima sa San Juan, Batangas.Sa 3:00 pm advisory ng PAGASA, si Paeng ay kumikilos pakanluran hilagang kanluran hanggang sa mag-landfall sa bisinidad ng San Juan Batangas at saka tatawid sa Metro Manila.

Nakataas ang Signal number 3 ng bagyo sa Metro Manila, Bataan, southern portion ng Zambales (Olongapo City, Subic, Castillejos, San Antonio), Marinduque,  northern at central portions ng Quezon (Pitogo, Lucena City, Pagbilao, Infanta, Tiaong, Unisan, Plaridel, San Antonio, Candelaria, Lucban, Sampaloc, Padre Burgos, Sariaya, City of Tayabas, Mauban, Dolores, General Nakar, Agdangan, Gumaca, Atimonan, Real, Macalelon, General Luna, Catanauan) kasama na ang Pollilo Islands, Laguna, Batangas, Cavite, Rizal,  northwestern portion ng Occidental Mindoro (Pa­luan, Abra de Ilog) kasama na ang Lubang Islands, northern portion ng Oriental Mindoro (San Teodoro, Puerto Galera, Baco, City of Calapan, Naujan).

Signal number 2 sa Luzon sa southern portion ng Aurora (San Luis, Baler, Dingalan, Maria Aurora), Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pangasinan, Pampanga, Tarlac, nalalabing bahagi ng Zambales, western at northwestern portions ng Camarines Sur (Siruma, Tinambac, Ocampo, Goa, Lagonoy, Milaor, Nabua, Buhi, Baao, Bato, Camaligan, Pili, Tigaon, Garchitorena, Iriga City, San Fernando, Magarao, Minalabac, Balatan, Naga City, Calabanga, Bombon, Bula, Canaman, Saglay, San Jose, Gainza, Sipocot, Del Gallego, Ragay, Lupi, Pasacao, Cabusao, Libmanan, Pamplona), na­lalabing bahagi ng  Oriental Mindoro, nala­labing bahagi ng  Occidental Mindoro, Romblon, Camarines Norte, nalalabing ba­hagi ng ­Quezon, the northern at central portions ng Albay (Tiwi, Malinao, Libon, City of Tabaco, Polangui, Oas, City of Ligao, Guinobatan, Pio Duran), at Burias Island

Signal number 2 din sa mga lugar sa Visayas na kinabibilangan ng northwestern portion ng Antique (Libertad, Pandan, Caluya Islands) at sa western portion ng Aklan (Buruanga, Malay, Nabas, Ibajay, Tangalan, Makato, Numancia, Lezo.
