MANILA, Philippines — Inanunsyo kahapon ng Department of Health (DOH) na nasa 63 milyong Pilipino na ang nakakumpeto ng kanilang bakuna laban sa COVID-19.

Ayon kay Health Undersecretary Myrna Cabotaje, ang nasabing bilang ay 70 porsyento sa target na 90 milyong Pilipino na mababakunahan.

“As of Feb. 25, meron na tayong total na 63 million na fully vaccinated. So, that is 70 percent of our target of 90 million,” ani Cabotaje sa public briefing.

Sinabi rin ni Cabotaje na nasa 300,000-500,000 ang nababakunahan araw-araw at kailangan pa ring pag-ibayuhin ang ibang istratehiya para mapataas ang mga nagpapabakuna araw-araw.

Inihayag din ni Cabotaje na sa National Capital Region pa rin naitala ang may pinakamaraming nabakunahan na sinundan ng mga probinsiya sa Region I, Region II at mga lugar sa Cordillera, Region III, Region IV-A at Western Visayas.

“Ang kailangan nating tutukan, nandiyan iyong ­ating BARMM, kasi mababa pa rin iyong ating BARMM, nasa 25% ang fully vaccinated. Region XII nasa 54, tapos sa Central Visayas, Region VII nasa 58%. So, iyon ang mga kailangang tutukan,” dagdag ni Cabotaje.
